I’m Filipino. Filipinos don’t do this act of kindness only to foreigners but also to fellow Filipinos. One day my car suffered a flat tire. I tried to replace it with my spare. A motorcycle rider saw me having a hard time doing it, approached me, offered to help and in fact helped me replace the tire. When done, I offered to give him a generous tip and he politely refused.

I walked kilometers away! Luckily, I won a parlor game worth P500, allowing me to return home without my friend realizing the financial struggle I had faced to attend the celebration.
