Monthly reminder that while I'm no narc, please remember that fish tanks are very heavy and are sometimes banned because the floor can't support it. If you're going for something more than 5-10 gal be super careful that the floor and stand can actually hold the weight. The loss of tank, livestock, and the floor isn't worth the decor.

Just a warning those daphnia jars can crash and die real easy. I had great beginners luck the first time I had daphnia I put them in a large clay bowl with some aqua soil aquarium gravel and some Moss I picked up from my backyard that I had growing in water. They tried then I did barely any maintenance for almost 2 years before I dismantled it when i moved. I have been trying to keep them since then but I haven't had luck. I wish you the best of luck.

@@veskodim8173 the daphnia will crash without a bit of flow. But not too much agitation either. I've crashed jars with no air flow and having added an air stone. They are really delicate little guys. Black worms or scuds and snails are a better long term option if you're trying to run a filter-less bowl/ jar. ✌️

hi, just a heads up, the Peas eat way more snails than you think, and if the snails are slightly too big the waste accumulates quick, I've had my pod of 5 peas for 8 months and only 3 of them will eat worms all of them eat snails, scuds, daphnia. I'm in the process of setting up a new tank where my plan is to establish worms and scuds first before adding the peas I have 5 30liter plant/snail tubs at the mo and i cant keep up, this is in addition to my main 6 tanks over 160 liters, but maybe its just mine that are fussy Best of luck they are awesome we fishes, but yeah the little guys eat way more than you'd think

Rubber eels were sold at Petsmart for the first few years I worked there. I sold one once. It escaped the specimen cup while my back was turned for a second. It was on the bagging counter and attempting a skedaddle so I had to apprehend. If you were wondering, they are just as slimy and slippery as they look.

Right now I’m playing Stardew Valley. I’ve done most of the end game content and am now working on Perfectiion. Such a long haul, but worth it! For Smash, my go to is always Kirby. He can sort of fly, can swallow up enemies to temporarily gain their abilities and drop down from above attack is brutal! That’s why he’s my favorite!

Fun fact: caecilians have so many teeth (several rows.) Some species are viviparous, and the developing fetuses have "baby teeth" to nibble on a special layer of tissue that grows inside the mother's reproductive tract once their yolk is used up. Some species (both oviparous and viviparous) also continue to feed on the mother's skin after being born. Other species have "milk" which sounds a lot more comfortable than cannibalism. The only downside is that the milk comes out of the cloaca, and I am very glad that mammals don't work like that.

I was up all night cleaning up the mess, my (formerly) beautiful 75 gal bow front made when it leaked. The plants are in a Rubbermaid tub, the fish that survived are in my daughter's tank, temporarily. Yes Chris, her tank is currently overstocked and I'm devastated. I can actually understand why landlords might not want tanks in a rental, when they leak, it's a disaster.

Speaking of the denver zoo, I actually had a teacher when he was younger who tried to grab/pet a lung fish that was on display bc it "looked petable and cute". And he said it proceeded to thrash and go nuts, now at that area there's a sign that says do not try and pet the lung fish or something along those lines. Kinda wild.

Sure they can sniff it out, they just can’t see where it is. also QOTW: I just play minecraft and do all sorts of things and beat the game within 4 months. Downloaded a furniture mod where i just have nicer things around but usually I can make it myself using actual items from mc. I also have a world with cryptids in it. The list just goes on and on.
