Fellow Minnesota fisherman here. The area I fish in is known for monster pike! The spot I mainly fish is where we have fished for years, it is where we have caught several 40inch pike. My grandpa recently had back surgery and I would love to take him there again. These lures would really help us. Great content, love your vids!

The craziest I've ever fished is a outlet for a powerplant. The plant cools its turbines with this lakewater and then pumps it out hot down a channel. The channel cat and some largies liked to hang in there because the water was consistently warm all year round. I enjoy the casts where nothing happens Its meditative, and is very peaceful to watch. Also helps me to recognize how you are angling structure that I can use as context when I fish.

Best spot I ever found was a side channel in a sandy bottom river that had great shore access and almost no snags. Big river with a lot of current; I used a catfish rod with a 4oz no roll sinker, 10' mono leader into a floating jig. Most days were multiple walleye over 25", it was truly a magical spot. Over the years the river eroded in that area and it doesn't exist now, but I still use that heavy carolina rig with success when camping riverside. Great video!
