It is very very nice. As a Californian I can say that. I live in FL. We have stunning beaches in CA but different as you have a more Caribbean feeling. Plus, I have a house on the Island of Cebu, Philippines, white sand and turquoise water, I am one lucky dude. Thank you

As someone who has been to Sarasota twice (once last August and once in March) from Chicago, I can say that it's the best beach I've ever been to. Early March was my spring break (earlier than most college students); Siesta was not crowded at all and the weather was PERFECT! Also the sand is incredible.

My husband and I discovered Siesta Key four years ago and love it. The beach, the Village, the people are amazing. The traffic, though, has increased even in those four years. We bought a condo in Sarasota because we feel so relaxed there and don't have to suffer the Midwest winters anymore. Siesta Key is my very favorite place to be.

Like any other paradise that were once were some what overlooked and known as a beautiful tranquil type place with terrific natural beauty have become so overrun by inconsiderate tourist , and building booms that few can afford . Such is the case in many Florida cities ,like the lower Florida Keys , etc .With so much info available within seconds ,it's nearly impossible for find that well kept " secret escape " Popularity ,wealth will always attract crime , increased litter, pollution , traffic congestion . strained ecosystems . More and more stories of " Paradise Lost " are becoming common place One might have that one place that they discovered .Then return after a few years and find out and say this is not the same place that captured my heart .Sad but too often true .

Hi Nick, I am a retired snowbird who bought a home in southern Sarasota. Siesta Beach is exactly as you pictured and described, great job. Next time visit Lido beach park on the southern end of Lido key, that's what we call our secret beach. The sand isn't as fine as Siesta beach but there are a lot fewer people. One time at McDonalds in Sarasota a guy saw my PA license plate and yelled "Go back to Pennsylvania".

Florida is being ruined right before our eyes. Too many people moving here from the God-forsaken places they've ruined with liberal policies and selfish practices turning those areas into miserable places. Just left Siesta Key yesterday. I was there for a week or so. I thought it was tremendous. The traffic was certainly a thing, but it was mostly because of the pedestrians. FL state law says you stop at all crosswalks with people in them, so naturally that slows things down. All in all its a barrier island, what can anyone expect. Theres 2 ways in, and some slight ability to use side roads to navigate around the island. Everything one would expect on a barrier island. Being someone who only goes to Florida for vacation, its all in when you go. Obviously when you go during college spring breaks, its going to be crazy. Crescent Beach is absolutely tremendous. The water there was insanely clear, it looked like pool water. Could see the color of the shells on the bottom of waste deep water. The rental prices in the area are much lower than the rentals closer to Siesta Beach. As the realtor mentioned, the southern parts of the island are the best. This is where Crescent beach is... At any rate, 10/10 recommend Siesta Key. It's fantastic.

Thank you for the video! I’m grateful to live within driving distance of here. As the realtor said you get used to it after awhile of living here, so it’s nice to have the reminder of what we have in our backyard. It’s just sad knowing that we’ll probably never be able to own a home in the area. Sarasota is also very expensive, and it’s near impossible to buy a home here as a first time homeowner and/or a young homeowner.

Like other popular coastal areas in Florida, the old-timer renters are getting forced out by skyrocketing leases. $500,000 + to live in a one bedroom apartment the size of a garage that is not even beach front? I don't see it. It must be rentals, or stuff that was bought much cheaper that people are hoping to flip. Don't forget some of these HOA fees are over $700 a month, and these things sold for the price of a cheap car today back in the 90's. It is an insane bubble that the FED will pop soon. Wait until the only mortgage you can get is 10% or higher, then you'll have reluctant land lords.

Anymore, Florida is so overpopulated and overrun with people crowding into all the places that used to be peaceful and relaxing. Over the last 30 years, I have seen this trend totally ruin what made these places so attractive in the first place. Not only are there too many people anymore, but far too many of them don’t give a damn about the environment or other people, it’s all about them. Sorry for being so negative but this is just the sad truth of it all. For those planning to visit here, or worse yet, move here, please have a sincere appreciation for this beautiful place and treat it accordingly, so many don’t.

I really hope they do not build upwards with taller buildings here. Even eight stories blocks that view. Trolleys are a blast to ride and relaxing. The beach you did bike ride on is sweet. Happy place description is accurate with solid reasoning. It looks like natures spa... two weeks would be a nice pick me up for anyone. Obviously with a price and some traffic. The sky meeting clear water and sand is an area of serenity. Gorgeous.

OK , I lived in Venice Florida just a few miles done the road BUT depending upon what time of the year 15 minutes or 45 minutes . Siesta Key is probably one of the best beaches as long as you are there "off" season. The parking is HORRIBLE , The Traffic is HORRIBLE , the prices for everything are , sell your first born HORRIBLE . In the winter you will be stuck in traffic blowing your horn at people who have no idea how to drive . BUT BESIDES THAT ITS A GREAT BEACH !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the video nick. I grew up on the Key and it was great when I was a kid in the 80’s and still great in a different way today. It’s busier now but there’s more to do as well. I live just across the intracoastal now and rarely go out on the Key, but it’s still a special place.

Fascinating to learn about different areas. I once looked at a house here in nj that needed some work. 250k for the house, taxes were 11k a year. Siesta key has cheap taxes!

I’m moving to Pensacola, Florida in about 2-3 months, where some of my family lives, but mainly just to get close to Alabama and Tennessee to check them out. Florida isn’t bad at all, it’s just getting very crowded, I like the Deep South a bit more from what I’ve seen, so I figure I’ll check it out. Leaving New Jersey in a few months, wish me luck, lol, this will be my first time out on my own.

I’m from Pensacola and haven’t lived there in over 20 years. I LOVE my hometown. I’m quite country. So laidback southern hospitality is my thing. Florida’s Panhandle is definitely the Deep South. Its southern vibe is very different from very diverse central and south Florida. Florida Panhandle beaches are Florida’s best in my opinion. Pcola has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The economy isn’t that good but the cost of living is lower then most other metro areas of Florida. You should be able to find descent work. You’ll definitely be right next to Alabama and Tennessee won’t be too far. Best of luck to you. God bless.

@@naturelover2292 Yeah, because Liberals ruined our state unfortunately. I have voted red since the time of me being able to vote, and I will continue to do so, in the South. It’s not my fault NJ was ruined by Democrats, it’s been this way even before I was born. I can’t choose where I’m born, lol.

A beach is a beach! Go find another beach! They are really not that different from each other. Sand and water. The water is usually not very clear at Siesta. Most of the time there is a lot of seaweed, and often there is red tide, which literally stinks (it kills the fish). This beach is so overcrowded. People who visit here are loud, rude and messy. I live and pay taxes here, and I can't get a parking spot at my hometown beach. We're tired of out of towners infesting our beaches. Lots of other nice places to visit. Don't believe the hype. Please go away! It really stinks that they're allowing high rise hotels now. That is not in the community's best interest. There is already way too much traffic. Also, that garbage MTV show that made Siesta Beach look like a party/ spring break destination was one of the worst things that have happened to our laid-back little key. You want to party, go to Daytona or Panama City. Leave our town quiet and family friendly, please.

I wouldn't think this is a place for under 40 years old. Yeah I see some young rich kids racing down the main streets but most live future south or north near tampa area. Unless the only thing you find fun is eating out and drinking (maybe an art show now and then) there's not much to do. Add that i'm not sure what's up with the SRQ airprot, its only for vactioners as there's not enough flights during off season and prices might be more than spending the gas and parking driving to another airport.

Siesta Key has fantastic beaches. If you hate driving around looking for a spot and/or like a side of booze and bars with your beach, invest the money in an Uber. I spent $500 during a month stay in Bradenton travelling to Siesta, Anna Maria Island etc. It saved some aggravation and added some freedom. Although couldn't avoid the traffic at times.

I live in MIA but I go to siesta key, destin and Daytona for a beach vacation. Sand is nicer, water is cleaner, etc. I love Miami, but SoBe is a little too tacky now and I’m 27 😂 I’ll go to Wynwood or Downtown for the clubs, but beachwise, off to elsewhere ! Definitely recommend siesta key if anyone is thinking of going based off this video, try to get parking early in the day, and ENJOY. It’s a truly beautiful place. Sincerely a Miami Boy that loves the entire state ❤️🏝
