@rohanpatel28284 ай бұрын
@@-Blue-_ 1. Agreed 2. UI might be the best thing especially compared to Windows which has lots of bloat, data collection, ads, etc. Linux is less polished but if you know what you’re doing better 3. WSL 2 is great but I’m just not a fan of Windows for the reasons above. That said having the driver and software compatibility of windows with the dev environment of Linux is great. But this is just not an issue on Macs where you never really have to think about drivers and everything just works 4. Agreed, as someone who knows how to work on computers and laptops these practices are abhorrent I wish I could upgrade RAM and storage easily although now RAM is being soldered on to laptops in Snapdragon and AMD laptops for performance. That said I will say support is a lot better for Apple than any Windows manufacturer so if your an ordinary consumer it probably won’t effect you all that much 5. This is just false there’s so many great apps for customization on Apple especially on the productivity side tons of great stuff on Setapp (Bartender, TextSniper, etc.) Rouge Amoeba makes sound software that lets you control individual apps like Windows and it’s better. Honestly if you want to make MacOS custom it’s not that hard anymore it’s just different. 6. There’s no comparison to NVIDIA for Desktop but for Laptops I think Metal is pretty competitive especially if you use Apple optimized applications like Final Cut. It also seems like more and more games are making there way to Mac with Apple’s version of DLSS. 7. Umm other people do. I use to have a Razer Blade Pro 2017 the thing wouldn’t last over 1.5 hours aka you do make sacrifices for having a more powerful Windows computer that aren’t as big a deal on Apple because of optimization. I mean just open up Task Manager and it’s clear as day. 8. True but it works way better with iPhones to the point where I think if you have one it’s not even worth considering Windows for everyday use unless you really need the horsepower 9. I don’t know what this means but if it’s upgradability or PCIe I agree 10. This depends on your use case there are definitely situations where even though it’s more expensive the experience and ease of use is better on Mac. The way I see it most Macs are pretty good all rounders but they won’t excel if you have specificity in what your trying to do with exceptions

listary + everything. I don't know how anyone can live without these two. I use them hundred times a day. listary is actually better than MacOS spotlight. and it creates a window for every open/save file dialog. I don't understand how's that not a default function in Windows still. everything gives you a live window where you can search instantly anything, as opposed to context window of listary that closes off after you've done working with it. everything behaves like any other program window but it's an instant search as you type on your whole machine.

00:28 I was a little surprised to hear this part as I thought you could do this on Mac. And, after opening a few windows of Safari, it turns out you can. In order to do that, you just need to press harder on the trackpad. Well, it’s not done by hovering, but by pressing on the icon; it’s still possible nonetheless, but just in a different way. Other than that, this video is really helpful. Though I don’t think the title of claiming to make Windows more like macOS is justified as it feels like half the video focuses on window management. 🙃 My partner uses Windows and I’m trying to find things he would miss with macOS. 😄

Surprising that Force Click is implemented there! I either swipe down with 3/4 fingers for the same Exposé, or press Cmd+` (I rebind it to Option+Tab) to switch between individual windows.

@@XeZrunner Oh, that's interesting! Since switching from Windows to Mac, I've been trying to be open minded regarding news ways to use my devices. And, to be honest, I often just use the trackpad or mouse, which is a shame. 😄 For switching to other windows I generally swipe up with three fingers. Though I don't know if that has a name (ah, looking up the setting via "hot corners" in settings I found it's called "Mission Control"). I've been using Mac since 2017 and am still learning because of nice comments like yours and videos like this by Bog. 😀

I’m pretty sure there must be someway that you can fix it by using the original default search function in Windows 11 to actually search for things that you actually need or actually want before trying the functions from other programs that are from third-party companies
@wantikjasonchiu47116 ай бұрын
But to me, of course it is because the snap feature with only the keyboard has always must be had been already implemented in previous versions of Windows and the drag and snap feature hasn’t been on other Windows version but Windows 11 has it and so that is why it recommends you to turn it on and it is turned on by default to snap a window on one side and then recommend what app to snap on the other side or drag a program on the top of the screen and then you can directly snap it that window with a specific area to snap to
