UPDATE: 2/23/2024 total fail on my part don’t drill into it to get the C-clip out it’ll mess up your slave cylinder, i got another one the way! this video is more of a how to NOT do this mod lol 😂 thanks for watching regardless

If u had “lockouts” which is what I referred to the issue I had when I couldn’t go into gear when shifting on high rpm’s, all u need to do to fix that is adjust ur clutch pedal and done deal but its coo to see someone mess with the cvd

If your 2nd gear synchro is showing issues even with a em1 cmc/cdv delete amsoil synchromesh mtf makes a huge difference vs oem fluid. I could never shift quick into 2nd until I switched to it

i did em1cmc/ktuned slave cylinder and stage 3 action clutch and i can bang 1-2nd like nothing now it’s crazy

@@dc5diego I could flat foot the 1-2 easy until my shifter cables started giving issues. Haven’t tried it since I got locked out of a 3-4 and money shifted to 10k😭

Effective mod! So you need to flush your clutch fluid when doing this clutch delay valve removal?

yes you do! cause your taking off the slave cylinder but bleeding your clutch isn’t hard at all

I was always told not to launch 9th gens. Also the only reason i haven’t switched to the upgraded cmc because the clutch delay valve is there to help reduce shock to the transmission when your shifting. How effective it is? Idk but you can’t go wrong with oem parts. Btw, mines is a 2012 pre-face lift. Idk if that has anything to do with it. Great vid too🤙🏾

I’ve heard that too about the delay valve but i’m just experimenting with the car to see what suits my needs, but to be honest the CDV delete is really effective i was just too messy on how i did it. But the cmc and slave cylinder upgrade is the better route to go! Vid coming soon! Much appreciated 🤙🏼

Never heard anyone say to not launch the 9th gen’s, I launch my shi everyday and so does one of my homies from outta state, never had an issue

I know what the delay valve is but on my TL type S I’m not sure if feel it but I can’t compare the clutch on my STI because it’s a Twin disc mod clutch vs an oem tl type s clutch. Is it only on launching that you can feel the delay?

it’s mainly when your shifting in the higher rpm’s range that you feel the delay, for example BEFORE i took my CDV out i couldn’t put it in 2nd right away when i floored it the rpm’s had to drop then i could put it in gear. But that went away after i took out the cdv

quick question, how does this mod interact if you have stock ecu and still have rev hang?

works great and doesn’t affect the stock ecu as it’s only a valve nothing electrical, although i’m not sure about rev hang as i have that disabled through Hondata

If u launch ur si even stock ur gonna spin like a mf, u need traction off and u clearly can’t do it cuz u got ur tire pressure light but nonetheless u need to ride out 1st majority of the times cuz ur gonna be spinning all through 1st and some of 2nd w minor mods.

Depends on tires and how u launch it. I barely spin on the street with rt615s and I’m fbo
