My dad hated imports but he secretly almost sold his oldsmobiles to buy a 280z back in the day. This is a design even the muscle car guys appreciated. One of the best designs ever, imo.

Definitely a goated sports car for North America. Before the Z your only options were American muscle cars, or small European roadsters

In 1986, for. My senior year in high school, my dad helped me fix up a 1972 240z I found in a car port. My mom reupholstered the interior in red, as I was going to have the car painted black for my graduation present. Unfortunately, on graduation night, on the way TO the party, I hit a low water crossing that actually had water running across the road. Instantly hydroplaned, missed mailboxes, took out several. Small. Cedar trees and came to a SUDDEN stop, head on into a very large oak tree.

Out of college years ago I owed a 1970 z vin 5500 range but it got wrecked. Have now sitting and waiting for time and $ to fix my 1971 Fairlady Z. What a beautiful build.

LOVE the G nose I was at the Monterrey Historics YEARS ago, I think Nissan was the honoured marque and there were DOZENS of G nose Z cars all over the place it was awesome i'd never seen them before love the look !

The BRE wheels used on their 510s look kinda similar.

Nismo isn’t really accurate for describing them. They are Nissan Factory Racing wheels by Kobe Seiko. Watanabe Gotti is very similar

Nostalgia tripping, my '72 240Z was colour #112. The most painted over colour apparently, but I loved it, almost fire engine yellow. Didn't stop people from pulling out in front of m e all the time.

Seeing plenty of 240s in my province of ontario, they just dont stand a chance to rust. So anything that's around is rotten if not already restored at some point... I'd love one but I couldnt commit to the effort of restoration it'd require in the state they are 😅😅
