I think the problem is, none of them tries to be actually original. Every game just coppies the Genshin system. I was actually quite enjoying Wuwa and ZZZ but first I'm tired of artifact (whatever the name it is in each game) farming part. And second, they all give exact same amount of premium currency. If they are forcing me to login every day for dailies without any content, at least let me get a copy of every character even if it's just 1 copy without their weapon.

This game has nothing interesting in it (from what was shown). I really don't understand ppl who start to hype things at this stage, when ppl have no clue what game will have and how be played. "It's anime gta" is not description how it works, it's all about details and deeper mechanics, which it not visible in this gameplay. For example they showed what player can have house, but there is nothing what you can have in house, what you can do in it, for now it's just empty box, same for car driving and "big but empty world" thing

Even driving looks terrible and think about it, people were complaining about games like cyberpunk in terms of driving and even I who don't know anything about driving games can tell that it's completely shit in this game. Changing the look of the world doesn't mean it's a new game if all they do is copy what genshin did. Personally I'm just expecting arknights endfield atm as both it's combat and gameplay looks quite interesting. It also has a very complex city building like satisfactory or factorio type of stuff which I love.

But even so in my eyes mugen showed more "thoughtful" things in it's trailer than nte showed in gameplay trailer, kek, I mean game may be good, but ppl who worked on this gameplay showcase are so bad in terms of presenting their product, not explaining anything wtf happening on screen (like going into other realm randomly or motorbike dude in the end)

Character design is pretty good. Ult and combat animations look nice and have a lot of personality. My tiny nitpick is how slow the running and dashing looks. The other problem is I'm suffering from Gacha overload right now and can't afford to start playing another one.

@@genshinfinity Yeah there's a lot of QOL and eventually "anti-grind" for older stuff, in TOF that is promising. Additionally, the movement options in TOF are freakin amazing, both in the gadgets and on some characters. Hotta has far more confidence from me than the "why does running still cost stamina" in Genshin, and Wuwa's generally janky feel.

Why does this game trust us with a car!? I suck at driving in games, I'll use Lego games as a reference here because its driving mechanic is the same, if not similar to this game. I end up breaking the cars and running over so many NPCs with literally any vehicle that isn't a bike. The second I saw we were trusted with a car, my immediate thought was: Oh no... I'll still be using the car, but if we have the option of a bike, then I know what I'm choosing.

The reason why gaming companies are so scared to add characters like cat girls is because those who are uncultured or that are straight up dumb refer to them as furries. Personally, I've got nothing against them, but a majority of the internet does. Cat girls and other characters similar to them are called Kemonomimi, which literally means "animal ears." A furry, according to the internet, is just a humanoid animal that has more than just ears and a tail. They have everything: Snouts, fur, paws, claws, etc. Every time someone looks at a character with animal ears and a tail and calls them a furry, it annoys me because they just rope every character with those same characteristics with furries, which are two completely different types of characters. It's also why I think Wuthering changed Lingyang's design and added that as part of his backstory. Yes, I know, different game, but just thought it was the best example I could give.

The main reasons why tower of fantasy and nte are so different in quality is because it's been 3 years since tof launched in China, tof had 50 devs originally and now it has 300

Even then, a lot of folks probably never got past 1.0 TOF content. Mirroria (2.0) is amazing, the Vera zones are largely really good... Innars has the problem of being TOO BIG, pretty but way too damn big. Confounding Abyss was awesome. The 3.x zones were good but "Mandated CCP Tourism Fantasy Slop" so kind of sank the vibe. And the 4.0 zone we have is very pretty and quite fun. But this game obviously feels like it has by FAR more resources and dev power put into it. Hotta's continued to improve with TOF even after it flopped, so I'm optimistic for what they could manage if they land a success.

Looks too ambitious for its own good. I like the fact that they don't have loading screens between locations, but I would prefer my games to be under 150 GB, unless it's Baldur's Gate 3 or Cyberpunk 2077. I feel like, for the most people it will keep dropping frames and forget about playing that on your phone, unless there will be like a lite version with many things either cut or in lower quality. When WuWa was released, I thought it might finally be this one game that will challenge HoYo, but I played it on the day of release and recently I downloaded it again to check if something changed since people were praising this game. Frames still drop, bugs happen, VAs are anemic and lore is still "we have to have some lore, so we will throw 100 Chinese names at you, have fun". And I feel this one will be the same. Also the fact that there's a car means no fast travel. And if there is fast travel, why would you need a car?

Admittedly I don't mind what I'm seeing now with a fresh perspective as much as I did a few weeks ago when the initial first looks were coming out. I'm sceptical that ToF devs will give me a game that has staying power for me personally, and I do not have time to add another live service gacha game to my routine especially if the daily grind doesn't respect my time. I'm already booked for the (hopefully) eventual global release of Persona 5 X so I just can't see myself being able to even have time to play without making it a chore. When all I saw was a webm of GTA car stuff, meh. Seeing more... maybe. This is like a weird fusion of Genshin and GTA gameplay and Persona setting, and I might be on board with that. I wonder what this means for poor undead Tower of Fantasy (which I still play), that game really deserved more appreciation than it got. I still enjoy running around in TOF FAR more than Genshin, and Wuwa is just a bad joke... I don't know how you manage to make all the movement BUT walls worse, but Wuwa did it. So between everyone, Hotta's getting my vote of confidence on a world that's fun to actually move around in.
