I dumped 70 hours into this prologue already... it's addicting and fun and TOTALLY scratches that "let's do a build progression" itch very nicely. Can't WAIT for the full release! The tidalwave only damages your basic windmill, just make sure to grab them before it hits, set them back down after and continue. Most KZbinrs stop never knowing they can go on.

Planet Crafters was fun but always felt a bit janky, the machines and resources always felt a bit artificial and insubstantial. Also I think games like this benefit immensely from procedural terrain. Always landing in the exact same environment kills replayability. Even Satisfactory suffers from that.

Looks interesting. All the different planet options is one thing missing from Planet Crafter. Yes it has different start locations but the planet is all the same so play it once and you know where everything is.

You can in fact automate sulfur; there are nodes on the second island, so you will need to power up the ship (and bring all the materials for a mining setup). I found flying the ship to be very awkward; I hope they rethink the controls at some point....

With a tree greenhouse you can make a surfboard from the wood and ride the wave all around the planet ! just kidding! If you look at your build menu it shows in red what things will not survive the wave or extreme conditions I think it calls it.

That very HUD screen looked very Empyrion-like, but then it turned into Satisfactory ;) Seems an interesting game, I like the plot choices it gives you. That's always been my gripe on many games, too linear.

Unfortunately we could not solve all challenges in the future. Especially breathable oxigen. It just couldn't be stored in the void like inventory. Also we weren't able to just extract oxygen out of the plentiful water. The little energy needed for this particular task is only usable for the pistol 🤣

I saw that spaceship and thought, damn, he just started and already Spanj has built an SV. It does seem to put a lot of Planet Crafter into it, but I think nowadays, everything's been done so they'll all show similarities. But I'll give this one a try. But another demo you turned us onto. Are you going to revisit New Cycle? I tried the demo, it was mehhhh, but you're my goto for a final decision. This one though, has potential. If it's like PC, I may even enjoy it.

That wave is straight out of my nightmares. I guess with terrain deforming you can carve through and expand the cave passages for conveyors to go through.

Looks too generic like other game's for me, close to Planet Crafter. Not really new ideas. For me this game is just a money maker with the least effort. Thanks for showing this Spanj. So you save me from testing this out myself. 😅

So I wasn’t nearly as excited for this game until that wave came. lol I was like yeah this is cool. But do I really want to try it? Then you read the part where you can move the moon and I was like ok, yeah, no, this is cool. Haha

Definitely looks like Planet Crafters with some Satisfactory grafted on. The land randomly littered with resources, the oxygen requirement, and the wireless power are all Planet Crafters, and of course the miners and the conveyor belts are Satisfactory. I'm pretty dubious about a game that forces an event that destroys part of your base, though. There's *some* of that in Planet Crafters with the gradual flooding, but it's not catastrophic and doesn't actually destroy anything, it just renders anything submerged nonfunctional.

The wave gives you a reason to stop it, you can stop it when you solve the problem causing it. :)

Only some of the early-game items are destroyed by the wave; once you get the advanced versions, they are immune. (Except for one device that you can protect by putting it indoors.) So it's an inducement to upgrade to the advanced versions rather than just building a lot of the basic ones.

I can't stand the tidal wave it's a good thing the dev told me that the final game will have different planet types without tidal waves. Overall I really enjoyed the demo
