Beginning is great but could have been 3 minute video. You said you would show off more impressive things but the second half is just you guessing what will happen. I want to watch the latest actual ai progress so i can make my own assumptions. The 3d scans to game ready assets has been something we’ve all been waiting for since 2020 so it’s probably not happening within the next month. Not enough data available to train a network of the size it needs to be..

Funny you show Starfield… Todd Howard would die before using current-gen tech, let alone next-gen tech. 🤣💯 You’re correct otherwise. Love URE 5.5.

Its not a good thing for video games because everything will start to homogenize in how it looks graphically to a point where it will look generic when all games start to look the same. A good example of this is Unreal Engine 5 games looks very similar to each other as developers are lazy that they still use base assets that comes with UE5, without any artistic work being done to it a la art styles. Honestly we are starting to see more and more incompetent game developers using UE5 features as a crutch for their lack of skill sets, especially artwork and graphics of video games now. Games of the past to have very varied artwork and art styles, which makes them look and feel different.

I think every skyrim moddern want that.. you can make skyrim to an unbelievable game for that age and this filter would Upgrade it on a hole new Level.. i think with this ai, skyrim has 10 years more tile before it dies.. i dont trinkt it dies in the short Future but one day it will, but that ai can give all games that have litten mod Support for graphics a länger lifespan.. All games can profit from this but some games can achieve a hole new Level of graphics with that..

This is something that reminds of the tecnique used in the Siren series. But with todays tech it can become into the greatest path videogames can go, cuz 3d models will never be realistic enough.

Yeah, AI can only learn classical physics. It can never interpret quantum physics, no matter the skill of the dev. But once we have quantum computing, shit will get real, the process power of qubit. God damn. Imagine a ram of 1g qubit.

What you’re showing here is undoubtedly fascinating, but the explanations and assumptions around it seem rather nonsensical. I’ve spent a lot of time studying AI, I’m a software developer myself, and I’ve learned how to build AI systems during my studies. I know how AI works, and since you’re using a model here that simply generates videos, it’s clear that it has no actual understanding of physics or how things truly behave. It’s just calculating the next frame, pixel by pixel, to create something that looks correct based on countless videos it has already seen. Of course, one could argue it "understands" physics because the data it’s trained on is often physically accurate, but you can’t retrieve or use that "knowledge" in any other way. The AI is strictly limited to this application: generating frames based on existing patterns. Nothing deeper or more complex is happening behind the scenes. Moreover, industries are profit-driven. Every industry is about making money, not creating the best possible product. The film industry, for instance, adopts such technologies because they help create faster, cheaper, and more realistic effects. Think about poorly rendered effects in past movies, like the awful CGI baby in the last Twilight movie. With tools like these, even those could be improved with minimal effort, delivering better results. This technology is relevant for both private users and businesses, but let’s not overestimate what the AI can actually do. It’s a clever video generation tool, nothing more. Let’s not assign it capabilities it doesn’t have.
