For your questioning about the past event stories up till now they have been slowly doing reruns of the past events one by one. But for the most recent version of the game in China which is version 2.2 they announced that all past events will now be permanent downloadable content. All of the specific info for that isn't out yet but I imagine that when 2.2 hits our version of the game you will be able to replay all of the events!

Yeah this new patch for first anniversary is really a good time if you wanna come back and play. A few things: - Lucy is a true limited character, meaning she's not gonna have a rerun banner or add into the regular banner. So if you're thinking who to pull for, Lucy is worth to prioritize. -All the previous events would be permanently added on future updates so no worries there. -Characters from the previous events are also slowly added to the regular banner and there gonna be rated up banners too, except true limited characters (ex. Jiu Niangzi and Lucy). -Some events were actually part of the main story, like patch 1.4 and 1.7, while the rest has connections to the overall story but they're not in organized timeline, some happened before some part of the main story, etc. Just keep in mind that R99 is pretty much about time traveling, so each event was in different era/time.

Basically the only problem this game has is that it's gameplay does not make for a very entertaining streaming content. It's basically a card game, a puzzle of sorts, and there's a lot of reading through the story, and we know gamers aren't often readers. Well, as long as this gameplay is alright with you, it's one of the best gachas you can find around. From what I see, it seems like people either quit right away, not liking the gameplay, or become hardcore fans of it, there's no in-between.

Yeah I can see how the creating content side of the game could be tricky. I hope I do a good job playing the game and it's entertaining to watch :) I am excited to really dive into the game especially because the story is so cool and there is so much that they can do with it gets me excited for the future of the game.

Well, I fall under in-between. I play for the story. Jumping off and jumping on from time to time. Basically play foe the main story and sometime event story that seems interesting. The story is the biggest reason I stick with the game.

Real. It's basically a game that is indeed high quality but not for its gameplay. Streaming wise, it's really only good under the 'variant' category, but the content creation side of this game is sorta alive, kicking out there

One thing that is nice about Reverse is that the Main story is Replayable. With it being visual novel type story, you can easily go back in the story and replay it. With combat missions in the game you do have to spend a little bit of resin/fuel for combat but it's easy to spend some time and do just story. And with each story chapter being 1-2 hrs you can do it quite quickly and not have to spend material. And each combat mission gives you matterial drops for the charecters and their upgrades. The one thing for me as someone coming from hoyo games is that the material investment is quite high especily if you are wanting to be well rounded but if you can choose a primary team or two you can focus in on who you want better.

Yeah, their farming system is abysmal lmao. The way they "fixed" this is in their event rewards. What is worth months of grinding is just 10 event quests you can finish in a day with auto-battle. It's sort of incredible really. Building characters in this game is near 0 rng, unlike hoyo and their artifacts.

Ahhh! I’m currently playing Reverse: 1999! I really like the setting and aesthetic of the game. Been really liking the story, and the new main chapters have been really nice! :D I think one thing I especially like is how they go to different eras in different places around the world. That’s just a fun concept for me, and I really like the skins they put out. :) (Also Ezra is a guy :P)

i have been playing this game since december of last year. when it launched to global a lot my friends (mostly from Genshin and HSR) played it but quit shortly after. There's only 2 of us who stayed in the game and so far we've been enjoying it and both exicted about the global anniversary❤ We're both f2p btw.

Oh wow so long time player! That is really awesome that you and your friend stuck with the game and it is pretty crazy it has already been out for a year. When I played this game I was just getting into Genshin so playing 2 games at once trying to learn them was a lot for me so I stopped Reverse: 1999 but I am happy that I am back playing this game. It is just so good and the story is super cool! I can't wait to really dive into this game and experience everything it has to offer.

Start now and start saving pulls for Lucy because she's a truly limited character and extremely OP. 45:57 It went horror, because Jessica was released with the 1.2 Nightmare at Greenlake patch, aka the horror patch. The vampire is free during the 1.9 patch. You should also react to the character trailers and possibly the various songs as well.

You are actually getting back to R1999 at just the right time because you are correct…in the next update, we are getting a free 6-star and it is indeed the vampire girl herself, Semmelweis…and from what I’ve heard about her meta, she’s not going to be a garbage 6-star either. If I didn’t already have Jiu Nianzhu, I’d be all about building her. I started playing R1999 around when 1.5 came out and I can honestly say it is my favorite gacha game right now (I love it even more than the Hoyoverse games). I just love the art, the story, the characters…I can’t say there have been too many events either that I didn’t enjoy.

Just a little bit of an spoiler (more like a sneak peak) in Globa we are in 1.9, around 2.1 its another Horror Event, I just thought might as well say it since I think you enjoy the nightmare of Green Lake And yes, i think its kinda is the best time to go back to r1999 if you want to, since 1.9 is the 1 Year Anniversary and a ton of things going on there.

WHAT? the math island was one of my fav events! There's just something about it that's so alluring and calming. Maybe because of the fact that it's set on a beach?.. 😭 I guess it was just very refreshing to me. I might be a bit more biased, tho cuz I absolutely love maths. But that's just my opinion ofc!

34:23 that is actually possible since the game is centered around a phenomenon called the 'Storm' where when it happens, it changes time. Just make a story about the Storm taking us to the time of dinosaurs and then make a summonable dinosaur character

Ah reverse 1999... Haven't heard that in a while... You know after your first video I really liked it, I looked forward to it, downloaded it and started playing, I think I did so for a solid month... But I dunno... I could never get really into it... The characters are cool and interesting, the main story was awesome I think I barely had any pulls after the beginner gifts ended... I eventually fell off of it... Then there was the Indian event with the planet themed girl that I thought was really cool so I got back into the game, but not long after I fell off of it again, I think the story was on a limited event that I had to sit through an opening and closing cutscene for every bit of story it got really annoying... I also didn't want to bother to farm for leveling materials because each time you Max a character, say I put soneto to level 20 with great pain, I'll limit break so she can go to 30, but now she's all the way back at lvl 0 and I have to go through the hoops all over again... I know farming in this game is very easy but eh... I couldn't bother myself... After I left I think I filled the feedback questionnaire that they give you if you uninstall the game, I gave them my sincere apologies and my thoughts of how I just couldn't get into it... The game is great, I know it's pretty interesting and fun... But for some reason I just can't get invested

for me, the reason to drop the game was lacking of main story for months. There wasn't much of a main story to begin with but the next main story update was in like half a year or something. And the main story is the thing that hooked me in the game so when there wasn't any of it, I dropped it despite some fun events

There's definitely less investment in the game which many people view as a negative but in my opinion is part of the reason im still actively playing it since 1.1 lol any big games or hoyo games that have a bunch of side quests or main quests or have a bunch of exploration gets super overwhelming and especially rough on storage space so a game like r1999 where i only really need to invest an hour a day (or more in the first few days from new updates) to is perfect when im busy with life

Time-gated and time limited so you could only play on this specificy time frame, I think I didn't play the game for the entire month and completely missed the story Then nightmare at green lake I did manage to play a bit, but got annoyed that whenever I wanted to play it was like -//-//-//-//-//- Nightmare at green late -//-//-//-//-//- (5-10 min of story) -//-//-//-//-//- To be continued... -//-//-//-//-//- And it really started to become boring, because the story kept being interrupted every 5 minutes By the way, As far as I'm aware, you can't experience any of these stories anymore, so no theft of the rimmet cup, nor nightmare at Green Lake for you

Oh man they are time gated?? That is interesting and idk why games do that. Time gates or level gates really do drive me nuts. It's like just let me play the game at my own pace and level! Also that makes me very sad that I won't be able to play the Green Lake story!!!!

These flagship events had time gates all over them It was like 4 mini events and the main story But for example, only minigame 1 was available on patch day so you could only play the first part of it, then next week they'd release the second minigame and the second part of the first minigame On the third week the first half of the story And so on The games do that to force you to come back everyday so they can say they have a steady daily player activity... It's just to force numbers really

​@@K1ngBardas someone who is a day 1 player, these others are misinforming you or missing information that is already known on the Chinese servers of the game. With regards to past events, they all get reruns around 6 months after the initial release so that players can have the opportunity to play them if they started after that point, BUT starting in 2.0 they implemented a feature to make events permanently accessible for everyone, one event will get added per patch from 2.0 onwards. With regards to timegating the character stories it's mostly to line up with the currently running character banners as motivation to get players to potentially pull for the characters, and I don't remember if they're currently replayable or not but I imagine that they'll eventually address the issue because Bluepoch listens very well to the community complaints and issues. @@sneakretsterI really like that we get materials from events that there's almost no need to farm in advance for a new character. Except when you're pulling every limited character of course😅 Also the weapons are free with grindable items to refine them❤
