One tip I wanna give you is on skills. Skills like power break and dark attack silence attack etc. imbue an effect on the enemy. They don’t make your attacks any more powerful. So you’re spending Mana you don’t have to. For example power break lowers an enemies power, meaning he’ll hit you with less damage. There’s a help mode you can turn on that I always leave on even on my most recent 100% play through just because it tells you what it does. You can also go read it in abilities in your menu. So learn and use the skills to inflict that status effect onto the enemy and unless they dispel it, you don’t need to do it again. Also you might want to take a day off screen to just grind. Play a bunch of random encounters to level up and get points in the sphere grid. Don’t leave spheres unactivated if you can help it. Lastly keep in mind you can see who is coming up next on your right. I saw you were surprised it was Lulu’s turn so soon, but it says who’s coming on the turn indicator. Sometimes a move will have an advance or delay effect. You’ll wanna watch that for some boss fights. Enjoying watching your playthrough, it’s an all time top 3 game for me. Hope you’re enjoying it too. Edit: hope that didn’t come across too backseat gamery.

ello! no not backseaty at all, if it was full story progressing things, i'd be annoyed but I'm happy for any and all tips that make the gaming experience easier! story things tho... none of that! so all your above tips I've taken on board and i might do a night of just levelling as it made my FF7 playthrough easier, so i think i need to do the same here! Also that HELP MODE tip is a good one for sure!

@@KizaCreates awesome glad you found it helpful. I would never reveal story. What makes this game good is the story. There’s ONE part of the story that tends to get people confused but you’re not there yet so I won’t say anything, and usually don’t when I watch blind playthroughs anyway. General rule: if the fiends on the way to the next area are hard then the boss at the end of that section will be hard. So level until fiends are at least not scary anymore and then move on. That being said because of some game mechanics you’ll get coming up it’s actually possible to beat this game without using the sphere grid at ALL. So theres ways to win without fighting battles. But it’s way harder lol. Lookin forward to the next video!

You should probably read a wiki page about the status ailments/boosts in battle. The game doesn't really explain them at all but they are really vital to the battle system. Absolutely essential in later boss battles. Most effects don't stack so you waste MP trying to apply some twice+. Also slow down a bit and look at the battle screen outside of your menu. There is a turn order gauge, if you are doing an elemental attack a box pops up in the left corner to show the enemies weaknesses and the very very top of the screen always displays what you selected does, aka it will tell you what cheer does before you select it

The overdrives your characters learned in this episode are overdrive modes. Meaning, different ways that their overdrive bars can charge. For example, stoic (which is the default) means that the bar charges when the character takes damage. Warrior, on the other hand, charges the bar when the character attacks. As for actual overdrives (not modes): Tidus has a total of four, which he learns as he uses the overdrive he currently has. I recommend using his overdrive as often as possible so that you can unlock the others quickly. Kimahri gains them by using Lancet on certain monsters. Wakka gains new slots as a prize for winning Blitzball games. Lulu is just tied to whatever black magic spells she knows. Auron gains new ones by finding certain collectibles that you haven't unlocked yet. And Yuna just gives her overdrive to whatever summon you choose. Her overdrive bar stacks with whatever bar your summon has already, so if you have a summon that has a full bar, and then you use Grand Summon, then your aeon now has TWO full bars.

If you're finding the game to be difficult, here's what I recommend for level grinding: make sure every character gets at least 1 turn in EVERY battle. Make aure you switch your unused party members in, and if you are close to ending the battle, but you haven't given everyone a chance to have a turn, then you can tell your characters to block by hitting triangle. It counts as taking an action, and they will get full exp from the battle. The last time my husband and I played, we did this to the point where even some of the later bosses, which are known for being difficult, were extremely easy for us.

You missed quite a few cutscenes by not talking to Luzzu and Gatta more than once. If you don't really care about the lore details it doesn't matter of course; but if you do, make sure to talk to everyone until they start repeating the same thing. This way you're sure you're not missing out

Great episode! You did good on the boss fights because the boss fights in this game can be very difficult. Now you understand why there are so many fights when running around, you need the lvl up The best tip I can give is to find the enemies weakness and switch to the right person for the job. If you have a weapon with sensor, then the weakness is shown in top of the screen. You can also use Kimahri, he can white magic/scan, this give you info on the enemies. Exploit the weakness whenever you can, sometimes you don't have what you need and those fights will be more difficult for sure. You're not bad at the game it's just a lot of new stuff to learn in the beginning and it is a difficult game, you'll get the hang of it soon enough 😃
@KizaCreates3 ай бұрын
yea... i'll fight everything for sure! it was a tough one! Kimahri did save the day with his sensor, i didnt realise the boss had so much health! also didnt realise LuLu could use magic on the body and it doesn't try to block it... but it's all a learning experience for sure and im still loving the game regardless! Just need to keep an eye on my sphere grid 😉

About that even the BASE game as in the NON International version of FFX is still brutal especially since the game technically doesn't USE EXP lvs so when your starting the FINAL battle with only lie 3000 max HP and Braska's FINAL aeon in its 2nd FORM takes like 3 to 4 turns BEFORE you get a SINGLE attack your 3000 HP party members won't really survive more then 1 attack then since I had each hit for Braska's 2nd form with only like 3000 to 4000 HP do OVER 1500 damage IN 1 hit.

It’s so tooooooough BUUUUUT I forgot about Yunas summons, I could have used them to tank for a bit. I need to keep them in mind for future fights
@veghesther32043 ай бұрын
Well with only 3000 HP I had to not only use Anima's over drive at least twice for 99,999 damage Braska's final Aeon 2nd battle has at least 180,000 HP since it takes at least 2x 99,999 HITS TO off it BUT WITHOUT the FIRST Strike effect on weapons my 3000 HP party members won't even get a SINGLE turn Yuna included.
