Sprocket is still very early in its development, but I am already very impressed by this game and its future potential! Basically, if you like kerbal space program, or ultimate admiral dreadnoughts, then you'll love Sprocket.
I've logged a few more hours in the game since making this video, and I will put more content up on it in the future. But overall I think its off to a solid start. There are bugs that need to be worked out, and the tank suspension feels a bit out of whack at times, but considering this game was made by ONE person I am very impressed.

I'd love to see my personal favorite wedge, the Mareșal Tank Destroyer! It was a Romanian prototype that inspired the Hetzer early war, before Romania joined the Allies. It's a very simple, and very sloped casemate design, so it should be fun!

This is actually how Germany built their tanks, which is why the tiger tank was so great

Your not too far off from reality. Every Tiger tank had minor differences that improved the tank with every new tank being built being slightly better than the last. this caused a huge bottlenecking issue and difficulties to repair damaged tigers in the field.

Thank you for pointing this out. Looks right up my alley. It would be really interesting to see where they go with this in the long run. I'd love a tycoon type campaign like Automation has, filling orders from the army and competing for contracts. But I do like me a good tycoon game.

There are storage boxes in the game, like the curved back piece of the mentioned Tiger I back turret. As for the "turret/cannon too heavy" it's because you are designing in "midwar" up to the left.

I've discovered that making your gun even slightly tapered will severely impact your tank's ability to elevate or depress it. Clearly a bug which I hope will be patched soon.

Please name one instance, with all of the hindsight in the world, where a curved edge on a tank was a good idea. Personally, I think it's the worst thing you can do in tank design.

@@little_weed192 It does not increase effective thickness because the thickest part of a rotund shape is always the nominal thickness of the armor. If you can hit the flattest part, the rounding is pointless. In the real world it will obviously not be that easy but I would rather take a flat angled plate over a round one any day of the week. And it absolutely does not look sexy

You mentioning the Panther being the upper range for tanks in the game right now i think is half true, depending on what era of tank you are building. But i managed to build a 100 ton tank with a 160mm (240mm pen) cannon and 600mm of effective armor thickness frontally in the late war era.

All we need is the ability to add polygons, a chamfer tool, and maybe a bit more user friendliness in the UI although i didnt have many problems with it. Maybe hints to tell the player why tank no workey workey. I cant wait for the next update.

I only have a few minor gripes in the game so far. The lack of ability to make rounded edges of course, the weird way suspension works (or rather, doesn't work), and of course how underpowered turret and gun drives are. But, other than that, I hope this game goes super far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Hamish can do. Personally, I hope we see the ability to have an open turret so I can recreate tanks like the SU-76, M-10, M-18, etc.

Turret drives are too weak. I currently don’t own the game so I can’t help much but perhaps try looking into something along that line or maybe just upgrading your power plant/engine
