Idk that therapy speak can be really disarming, particularly the idea of "intrusive" like somebody else controls your mind and body. Seems to misplace the locus of control if you don't actually have a personality disorder. Some people can achieve catharsis getting into organized martial arts or boxing, gain discipline that throttles their fantasy about being able to successfully attack someone. You're more likely to get hurt than hurt someone, which seems like the real delusion. Our society praises violent behavior and barely dissuades it in young people. I think it's normal to feel frustration after you've been primed to be violent as a guy, but either not being fit or trained enough or just running face-first into our institutionalized ethics of 'care.' Which is unironically applied at gun point by police, more violence

1:20 To clarify, this happened on a private server. Private servers for Archeage are much more populated than the dead retail servers that closed down.
@Zachhhx6 ай бұрын
As to why it happened, some people in the game are super toxic and will do everything they can to ruin your time on the game. Constantly trying to find you, kill you, and steal your stuff. If I had to guess, that's probably what happened and it wasn't a one off thing. Some of the top guilds have been known to go out of their way to run other guilds off the game.
@CatCattington6 ай бұрын
@@Zachhhx Yeah but this particular player who was attacked was liked by most of the community. He was the furthest thing from toxic. Also him and the person who attacked him never actually had any beef and had very little interaction. The perp had bipolar disorder and was surrounded by a toxic friend group that filled his head with bad things they made up, so edward kang, hammer boy, had this entirely fake idea about the person he was attacking was a bad person, which he truly believed. So what the news isnt telling you is that there is another group of people that are just as responsible for this attack happening.

@@Zachhhx That's just hear-say, and the "victim" is from , the guild that tries to take over servers, so... I think your first explanation is more valid, and the narrative others are pushing is misinformed, or intentionally distorting facts. I obviously think what happened is wrong, but that doesn't make what and other toxic guilds and players do in game, right. It's no excuse for their behaviour, and people should really focus on the underlying reason, which is alike to online bullying. It's never right, no matter how you coat it. Edit: They're also known racists and are trying to push all the blame on the Chinese players, and then spreading those views, which are also not accurate, because the Chinese players are not taking over servers or keeping other players from playing, which is the toxic behaviour you described that and other toxic players display in game, and are known for. They just don't want to ever have to stop being that way, for any reason whatsoever, call it mature, grow up, become a better person; to them being toxic and chasing everyone else off the server is "winning".
@CatCattington6 ай бұрын
@@rasamalai What are you blogging about, oso doesnt "take over" servers. We play the game and pvp, it is not our fault if you get upset that you lost in a video game. There is nothing we can do "take over" the server and make you not log in or not play. Stop being delusional and blaming the victim.
