What you use to remove the paint I think that looks cool

This works great especially when we have to get them shipped overseas. I live in the Caribbean and I order from Amazon US. The smaller shipping volume is a god send as it drastically drops shipping cost compared to a regular case. That is the biggest advantage to using this case for me.

Love the minimalistic design approach of the NZXT motherboard
@jonevansauthor Жыл бұрын
I kind of like the look of it, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the £279 price tag, or the massive amount of probably unnecessary heat sinks to enable that look ;) Perhaps those heat sinks are incredibly functional and have proven themselves in performance benchmarks though?

the beauty of this case is that you can honestly customise it however you want, remove the air filters and you have an amazing "open air" design, most parts fit, I was even able to put in a 6900 TUF gpu, a Noctua NHD15 and a full size PSU and ATX motherboard and still have room for more (it was tight and hard to cable manage, but ITX builds are bad for that) panels can be painted, vinyl wrapped etc etc... LOADS of options, you can even build it left side style if you want... I was able to get a spare side panel and remove the glass one, got rid of all my air filters and its running cool and looks amazing, thinking of spray painting it soon as well or doing some custom art on it... and, its cheap for what you can do with it.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a different type of case but it’s interesting you know it’s nice that cooler master kinda goes out their way and kinda make some different options for us instead of just a plain old square or rectangle box that we normally used to. Anyway, Devon, have a happy new year and can’t wait to see what you’re doing in 2024

I actually got this case for my build, got about 95% done assembling it, then promptly tore it back down, boxed it back up, and returned it for a full refund. See, this case is touted as able to be "inverted" where the main chamber is on the other side, and everything is essentially "upside down." I need a case that does this because the desk I have in my home office somehow has the shelf for my computer tower to the left of me. The problem is that setting this up to be inverted is really only a matter of taking the feet off the bottom panel and attaching them to the top panel, but this does not take into account that the front I/O and power button are suddenly on the bottom corner of the case. And because the corners of the case are angled, this really renders the front USB completely useless. So if anyone's looking at this case with plans to do an inverted build, I *highly* recommend you look elsewhere.

- I don’t really get the design logic on the PSU being hung from the top with intake facing the front panel . The width of the PSU will somewhat hinder smooth airflow for air coolers while the position probably doesn’t allow any adequate water coolers to be used due to restricted radiator length .

The aesthetics is my issue with this case as well. It's clever in other ways but the design is just very toy-like. I assume they were going for a LEGO/Mechanix vibe with this but I wish it built into something more subtle or elegant. Also, like some other reviews mentioned, the mesh filters they provide are very restrictive and if you remove them then the circular holes of the outside and angled slits on the inside clash badly.

I am a fan of Cooler Master. I like their products for many years now. So what I am about to say is not about this particular version, but all similar. I will tell you what my main issue is with these build your own PC case. Shipping. After you build it and have a full PC running, what happens if you need to ship the PC? The box it came with is useless. So how do you ship it? How do you transport it? I like the look of the case, I think it would look better in orange, though the brushed look is good too with what you did. Nice touch.

@antoniocepaj75448 ай бұрын
@neotlk8950 it all depends, available space on desk, and your esthetic....Asus ap-201 can't fit ATX motherboard while others 2 can. Lian Li O11 air mini should have lower temps since PSU is in back, comes with 3 pretty decent fans. With custom brackets it can also fit 360 radiator as Asus ap-201, unlike Qube 500. Lian Li O11 air mini is bit wider than other 2...... Like I mentioned it all depends. For me, personally I'm happy with Lian Li O11 air mini case. Price in your location matter too.

@devyn.johnston Жыл бұрын
I think it turned out cool, too! You’ll need to get paint stripper (I used Klean Strip from my hardware store) and some patience. I liked the brush on paint stripper better than the spray. Definitely don’t recommend using a steel wool brush to get the paint off once it’s set in the solution. Just let the panel sit for a bit longer and use a plastic scraper and elbow grease. I got an electric polisher and plan to polish it up even nicer when I get some time.
