While they made Nick more sympathetic than in the book, so it's easier to root for him, Go was the only character whom I felt sorry for in both versions. She may not be as charming as Amy, but she's a much nicer person, and has to deal with not only Nick, her twin brother, lying to both her and the police, but the fact that he's willing to stay with Amy for the sake of their unborn child.

I don't feel sorry for Nick. He literally drained the money from Amy instead of looking for jobs. Wasted money on video games, became lazy. He stopped caring about their marriage while Amy tried to save it. He even started an affair when Amy started giving him the same treatment he gave her. And had the audacity to blame Amy for his cheating (like all cheaters do). He didn't stop there, at one point he even hit her. Amy considered ending her own life because of the situation he put her in. He wouldn't even let her divorce him cause he was a gold digger and needed her money. He pushed her last button and she finally snapped. People calling Amy a psychopath and what not but I think she wanted revenge for what Nick put her through. Good for her.

realistically, the worst harm he did to her was cheat on her. yes, nick is no saint and not without his flaws, but hes not a psychopath. shes a murderer and an abuser. shes essentially okay with now emotionally and psychologically torturing nick slyly, with nick under constant fear that one day she may slit his throat like she did to desi. she knows what shes doing and clearly gets off on the power she has over nick where no matter what she essentially cannot lose; if nick leaves her, he is villified by the media and shes the poor abandoned wife with an abandoned baby. she is essentially a dictator now and wants to torment nick forevwr. does he really deserve this ffs?

The plot is dumb as hell. What was all that blood "evidence" on the kitchen for? She's clearly not injured enough to splatter all that blood. Heck, the rich dude had cameras all over his place.
