I remember when the Mask of Rebirth came out in oldschool there was a war with the wikians on if "uwu mask" redirected to the wiki page or not. What’s the benefit of bladed dive now that just dive exists on the same cooldown? Is there an additional mechanic to bladed dive that’s useful beyond just the movement that dive gives?

It does aoe damage if cast not during GCD. Not super useful for many places, but it's necessary for consistently clearing the shadow anima at Raksha quickly by using bladed dive with a scythe and laceration boots.

If you kill something with bladed dive (casting it outside of GCD so it does damage) it refreshes it's cooldown so you can cast it in succession, pretty good for getting around.
