This GHOST Town is Getting Swallowed by the Dunes (Kolmanskop)

In the early 1900s, diamonds were discovered in the sands south of Luderitz. Almost overnight, a diamond rush began, drawing people from all over into the desert. Over 50 years, Kolmanskop flourished as a beacon of wealth in Namibia. But eventually the diamonds dried up, and the money dried up with them.

Fascinating tour of a town that time forgot. The sand piled really gives it a unique vibe. As do the German signs. I'd be very unnerved walking around that place.
