Kudos to the chef🎉 You sound very happy with her cooking! My kids were watching and wanted to know how you found a chef for your visit.

You're in very good hands. The Fantes are some of the best cooks around. Even their street foods are delicious, unlike in Accra here where the Ga people are not such great cooks

It's true. They love food and they're damn good at it. The other ethnic groups tease them that they like to build "stomach infrastructure" instead of physical infrastructure 😀.

I will say she is one of the best cooks. I was born in Cape Coast. I am 70 years now and now live in US. When I was young in the 50s and 60 all our mothers and fathers know how to cook. My late mother for instance makes sure that all my sisters cook well. She will be telling them what to do. There was a fear at that time that if you are a young lady and you don't know how to cook your marriage will not last. What it means is that you will bring disgraced to your family. Those days, when the ladies start to cook my mother will ask all the boys to go and play soccer at the beach. I was the last born of my mother so they allowed me to stay. Because of that I was able to study different types of Ghanaian dishes. I remembered in 1965,my mother was admitted at the Cape Coast hospital. At the time my sister was at the boarding school and I was the only person staying with her. I visited her on Sunday and found out that I was the only person who didn't bring food. The following Sunday,I prepared fufu and palm nut soup for her. When she opened the bag she shouted my son knows how to cook and all the people around came to her table. I was ashamed and did not cook again at home. When I was at the University of Texas at El Paso, I used to cook all the Ghanaian dishes now popular all over the world. My American girl friend at the time wanted me to stop school and open a restaurant. (God bless her soul .She is dead) I taught at she didn't like me. That was in the early 80s. If I have done that I maybe a billionaire by now. Since,I married more than 30 years ago, my wife has not cook for the family more than ten times. She always argued that my food is super.

My friends and I will be visiting next year and would like someone to prepare a special dinner one evening. Does she have a business contact?
