But I'm an outlier so I see your point, she is clearly a cut above a lot of individuals, but she ain't the most cunning. I'd give that one to Junko, followed closely by Nagito then Sayaka (with her double trap, the first being framing Makoto for her crime the second being exposing her target if she fail... but that is probably my bias speaking) I can also see Mikan as being more cunning than her. @@efghijklmnop I did finish watching the translations of the rest of the game but this really was the peak, the two trials after this feel very underwhelming and are also incredibly short compared to this. Linuj made a case so good that it made the second half of the game dull compared to the first half. Also considering most of my favourite characters died from chapters 1-3 cast is pretty mixed for chapters 4-6. As much as chapter 5 had a cool twist the case was pretty boring in my opinion and only took like half the time of this trial. This trial really takes advantage of having a lot more people left and creating a mystery that fits well into this portion of the game but it also spoils the rest of the game for me by making every following case a lot more bland.

even though junko was smarter and did much worse, theres something thats so much more… unsettling about kanade. she genuinely made me feel sick throughout this chapter. even though junko is my fav from the danganronpa series and did worse things than kanade, id have to say that kanade was so much worse in terms of how she portrayed herself. junko did stuff because she was so smart that she could predict whatever happened in her life due to her ultimate analyst talent and it made her despairingly bored, which is almost understandable in a way. kanade, however, was… its honestly sickening to even think about it. although i like junko more, i cant deny that kanade was so much more antagonistic in terms of personality and reasoning. yikes.

I mean Kanade was suspicious from as far back as chapter 1, she was way too calm and composed during the investigations and the trials and her behavior during those times was also quite off-putting, she was cocky and seemed to know way too much about murder for just a guitarist. But all that considered, I never expected her to be that messed up, like christ she is one of if not the most fucked up character in a danganronpa game. She feels absolutely nothing for the people she killed and almost seems proud of her accomplishments, hell she was more disappointed that someone saw through her lies and that she made a mistake, than the fact that she was about to be executed.while I personally dislike her for her horrible personality and the fact that she is an awful human being, I can't deny just how great of an antagonist she really is.

"This girl is worse than Junko!" Maybe, but remember that Junko basically started the grassroot movement that developed into Ultimate Despair and nearly took the whole world for a ride and a half. And all because her being the Ultimate Analyst as a sub-ult-talent next to her being the Ultimate Fashionista meant she'd get bored with predicting every potential hopeful outcome and wanting something horrifying and chaotic to get her excited. Compared to that, Kanade, for how utterly messed up she was, is a serial killer, but she's small-time.

I've only started to look at your playthroughs of this game since yesterday and I can say that this is probably one of if not the most messed up class trial I have seen in a Danganronpa game, regardless of it being a fangame or not SPOILER WARNING: I don't know what it is but ever since Chapter 1, I've always empathized with Hibiki and I have always found her reactions to the entire killing game to be completely realistic and that's what really disturbed me at the end of the trial. Hibiki might've been annoying at times but whenever there was any body discovery announcements or even during the class trials, you could genuinely feel the fear and dread on her face and to a certain extent her presence in the class trials always made everything seem "real" (not that the other characters weren't feeling the same way but the way that she was constantly scared for her life and constantly paranoid about the situation she was in reminded me of Sayaka's case from the first Danganronpa game but this feels more f'd since Hibiki never had the erge to kill anyone if it wasn't for her sister manipulating her into doing so as opposed to Sayaka who knew what she was doing if that makes any sense). Because really imagine knowing that not only are you trapped in a killing game where there are students WITHIN that game that are plotting to possibly take your life but right before you're caught and executed for a crime that you were manipulated to do, you come to find out that the person behind the death of your parents is the one person that you trusted the most: Your OWN BIOLOGICAL TWIN!!! and not only that but you also have to be executed with that person as you desperately try to find any means to escape. The third trials of Danganronpa games are always the really f'd up ones but this one feels especially messed up given the motive, the revelation, and even the execution behind it all. All in all, I just wanna say congrats you got a new subscriber and keep up the great work!!!

wall of text containing BIG spoilers for SDRA2 ! > > > > > > > > > locity loved kokoro, so i figured i'd chime in now that this trial's aged. kokoro herself must have noticed kanade's psychotic nature because she had no 1v1/ 1v2 personal interactions whatsoever with the twins, and refused to talk to them once kanade started to slip up. out of everybody, i eventually came to realise that kokoro either avoided or ignored those two the most before the first murder had even occurred. to this day, i still think that kokoro's withdrawal from the group wasn't solely to scope out the voids, but also to distance herself from kanade ! kokoro only attended the concert with the intention to approach emma in a crowd, which backfired splendidly, but i digress (my headcanon is that mikako somehow got the last laugh via utsuro's luck activating at the worst moment for teruya to overlook their exchange, and i'm NOT sorry although she's locity's fave). kokoro already had a strong conviction about the other two remaining voids. it's not so much that she feared the voids, in my opinion, but that she accounted for both mikado AND kanade thwarting her plans to unite the group. there's no way someone as perceptive as kokoro didn't see through hibiki's mental state, kanade's puppeteering, or even syobai's abnormal behaviour. recall her apt wariness of sora's identity during the prologue. if kanade can ascertain somebody's threat level upon meeting them for the first time, kokoro is scarier in that she can read their psyche and determine who they are as people down to gritty details of their development. not to mention that kanade ultimately ascertained f/ck all. kanade easily dismissed sora without a shred of doubt, but kokoro was immediately bothered by her very existence, and gradually made (super correct) assessments of many other people. it's also important to note that while kokoro was actively thinking of how they might've gotten into this situation, neither syobai nor kanade (the next two more calculating and intelligent participants) showed any (genuine) interest in escaping the island. there was no incentive from either party to figure shit out in a manner that benefited the group's survival. they didn't once offer up a sound theory, put in effort to gain some understanding of their situation, or god forbid brainstormed with the group. upon rewatching it now, i noticed that they each once manipulated the conversation away from this topic, actually. it was almost as though they were somehow involved or couldn't care less. and while kokoro told the group not to bother worrying about syobai, she didn't so much as mention kanade, a much larger threat ! that also led me to think that kokoro quickly understood syobai's motivations, and perhaps even his association with the kisaragi foundation based on the brief dialogue from teruya/rei (they acknowledged syobai's presence indirectly, and kokoro likely noticed to whom they were speaking) before mikado shut their intervention down. syobai aside, it makes sense to think that kokoro immediately figured out that hibiki was the catalyst for kanade's eventual actions, and chose not to antagonise her precisely because it might lead to an early homicide on her part. similarly to how she concluded that syobai wouldn't mess up their cooperation/escape, it can also be inferred that kokoro concluded it'd have been foolish to get involved with kanade. kokoro could have simply reported her to the foundation had they escaped, but they were stranded under harsh regulations, and anything might have set kanade off. kanade admitted to have been planning a double blackened murder from the very beginning. even if it were postponed until the very last chapter, kanade's interference would've directly ruined everyone's cooperation (and mental state). she'd have orchestrated some bullshit to psychologically corner not just hibiki but other participants as well so to carry out her plans more effectively. the best case scenario here would be for kanade to opt out of committing murder if everyone had figured everything out much sooner, reached a mutual understanding, and escaped. they were in an extremely restrictive and controlled environment with relatively few suspects for each crime committed, so it'd have been safer for kanade to forfeit her plan in order to continue killing in much more suitable conditions. thing is, that's a logical POV which kokoro might've considered but kanade's arrogant nature would've nevertheless overridden said logic. yeah, a disciplined serial killer might've held back, but not kanade. their current situation actually emboldened kanade to TRY. it didn't just elicit a new, unusual and exciting mental breakdown from her sister, it also satisfied her own ego for kanade to pull it off under such difficult circumstances. honestly, she's a terrifying creature, but kokoro's not far behind in terms of psychological prowess. i don't know whether (original, older) kokoro's manic fixation on emotions can rival this unhinged psychopath when it comes to the consequences of their actions, and it's not as though they're anything alike. in any case, if the SDRA2 cast had been slightly more reliable and quick-witted generally speaking, kanade might have been cooked as soon as kokoro clocked on to her personality and informed the group. she was the ultimate psychologist after all, yknow? she had the voids down pat and was contemplating the truth behind this simulation already. kokoro got nerfed even before her death. chances of success were rather slim when her only other plausible options for intellectual cooperation existed in yoruko, TWO amnesiac participants, a gentle giant, and the average kid who got lucky once. i mean, even if the DRA surviving cast had broken the matrix in chapter 4, there wasn't a lot left to work with. outside of syobai and utsuro's luck modded into sora's AI, they might as well have replaced every other sprite with yasuhiro.

More spoilers: Yeah, Kanade sucks as a person, but the fact that the group literally got deus ex machina’d by Sora into solving her scheme is so unfair to her lol. Put her and Hibiki into any other Danganronpa/Fanganronpa game and everyone is getting executed. Even Kyoko or Shuichi wouldn’t have been able to figure out that the twins stabbed their victim at the same exact moment. She committed arguably the most foolproof murder in the history of Danganronpa (without needing the extra help of being the Mastermind in order to do so).

Not only that, the Future Foundation is nothing but a mere shadow of its old self. Junko's Ultimate Despair organization just needed to take down Makoto to achieve victory.

In terms of how they treat their sisters though , Kanade is wayyy worse than Junko. I mean, Junko let Mukuro to have a lot of freedom like joining the military herself, and Junko only gives despair to Mukuro right before she dies (knowing she’s betrayed and killed by her own sister). Meanwhile Kanade doesn’t even let Hibiki have free will and has been torturing her mentally ever since they were young. Also hypothetically if everyone that existed loved Hibiki, Kanade would have wiped out the entire planet.

Honestly, i thought both twins held the same knife at the same time and stabbed together If they were able to run with the "Kanade did a double-handed stab" thing, then i figured the hilt of the knife would've been long enough for 2 hands Both twins put 1 hand on the knife (specifically Kanade's left and Hibiki's right to put more force into the stab) and they both would've stabbed the body simultaneously, the time difference would've been zero but eh, the hilt was too short and they used rhythm powers

about what kanade "realized" after seeing the end of their motive, i read somewhere that it's because she knew that her plan to make hibiki her puppet was already complete. as kanade said, she planned to get rid of their parents as the final act to completely break Hibiki's mind. hence, knowing that she had already got rid of them means that her project is "complete"
