I remember playing Sunol for $36 at 11am on Saturdays with cart on a hot deal from TeeOff. The two par 4 holes 6 and 7 on top of the hill at Santa Clara were my faves on that course.

I work two minutes away from Santa Clara. Used to play there after work almost every week. Cant beat $16 super twilight and able to finish all 18 during summer. Sad day when it closed down.

I work at Moffett field and I hate to see another course close. It’s crazy how busy it is. Love Franklin, it’s a great track Mare island and sunol were great. Another course, pleasants hills in east SJ was good enough for beginners Great content man!

Yall are doing a fantastic job out there at Moffet! For sure it's a bummer we are losing morwccourses as time goes on. Also it's a pipe dream to think that anything new will be affordable.

"water consumption of approximately 50 million gallons/year of potable water from EBMUD will be substantially reduced due to the elimination of the 18-hole golf course. The RV resort will use an estimated 20,000 gallons/day (based on full occupancy) or about 7.3 million gallons/year, an 85% reduction compared to the current use." The course is owned by an LLC, and they proposed the redevelopment to the RV park/campground. I guess the return on investment on this course just wasn't there. I don't know if it's a PRODUCT of the upcoming closure, or a SYMPTOM, but weekend tee times are pretty easy to get. Service is great, greens are in nice shape, even the fairways last time I played were pretty good, due to a relatively wet winter.

Golf courses closing down near where I live has been a travesty over the last 10 years. 6 courses have shut down near my area (east bay, CA). Looks like Franklin will be just another course added to that list. I should get out there one last time for memories sake, I've always enjoyed that course.
