Great video Rob. First, Happy Mother's Day Sarah. Second, I hope everyone knows that burning all that doesn't kill all the trees and plants. Those big pine trees and oaks will survive that. He is just burning off the thick dry grass and under growth. Turkeys love scratching an area that has been burned. In no time at all, new growth will start. And it enriches that soil. Great job buddy. You are a great steward of the land and a great conservationist. #NWTF

This is crazy timing!! I’m having a crew come in in June to clear out 8 acres of thick brush that is unusable. Got a contractor with a mulcher who’s going to do the job for me. 150 bucks an hour for 3 days. I’m fired up because we will be able to use it and get to the feeders to refill them. Already did a prescribed burn but didn’t make a dent in all the saplings. Will do a burn next spring and maintain it with prescribed fires. This video just turned the excitement up. Can’t wait!! Ps. just got back from the keys yesterday. Great diving, checked out bud n Mary’s. Rescued a pelican. 👍What a trip!! Rob, we are living parallel lives it seems.

Every time I burn on my property I always check the wind, burn into the wind and make sure I have fire breaks. Even with all that I still get scared when we get a gust of wind and you see how quickly that fire can spread! Safety first! Happy Mother's Day Sarah!

Born and raised in WPB , west next to JW Corbet in 1980 we still have our 5 acres out there we used to utilize our five acres backed in the same way with cows controlling the vegetation a big lake in the back it's good to see good conservation awesome job.

Man as mother's day is a sad day for me, as I lost mine a year ago it always reminds me of when I introduced her to deermeat for dinner, but she didn't really understand what Rob was as a KZbinr she really thought that rob was just one of my friends who makes videos and she loved to watch all of his stuff. I'll never forget the time I was at home not doing anything and she called and said why aren't u out doing something why don't u call your friend Rob and see if he wants to go fishing with u😂😂 I never did have the heart to tell her the whole story about deermeat for dinner, but I truly hope one day I can meet this guy and go fishing with him RIP Mom I love u happy mother's Day and a happy mother's day to the rest of u wonderful women out there god bless. What you are doing is great land management. Folks think woods, hunt, fun. NOT. Like granddaddy used to say... work first and then play. It takes a huge responsibility to maintain the land as you are doing. Your work is never done. You are a true environmentalist all the way. Thank you for taking such good care of the land. Future generations of your children will continue to do as you are doing. You are teaching them from a young age how to be thankful and love wildlife as well as how to care for and harvest from the land. God Bless You Guys. Hopefully, other landowners will start doing as you guys are doing a become good stewards of the land as well. Even if folks own no land, DO NOT LITTER!!! It all comes back to hurt us all when folks litter. When I was growing up there was a Native American on a tv commercial and it showed cars passing by throwing their fast food trash out of the cars and landing near this gentleman. Amazing Video! God blessed me with being in the right place at the right time a couple years ago and you invited a few of us and the guys that brought your Moose down from Canada out to the ranch one night. I remember riding in the back of a truck because the main drive was a little rough on cars. It looks like you have done so much in just a couple years. I hired the big mulching machine to clear my 6 acre home site. It was expensive but much better result than pushing up trees with a bull dozer. It looked like a park when they were done. And all the ground up trees and brush was returned to the soil, not hauled off to land fill. I didn’t burn it but I could have with no danger of the fire getting away from me. It was so thick before I mulched it you couldn’t walk through it. So I would definitely recommend you mulch your property.

I was having the same problem on my place, plus I was wanting to build a large steel barn. Had a company come out and mulch up some palmettos and some oak trees that had been damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Those little bobcats can chew up the wood, and the leftovers put a lot of nutrients back into the soil.
