I watch this live perform a few times a year. And I cry every time. I feel the same as you. It’s so beautiful to see them sing such a painful song, but it’s also heartbreakingly tragic to know that the feelings this song portrays is what took Chester and Chris from us. The duality of life. You are just now finding these artists. And I love the emotion. Chris Cornell was the soundtrack of my childhood with Soundgarden, Chester Bennington was the soundtrack of my teenage years. I mourn them both, but Chris I mourn more. Soundgarden was an absolute favorite of mine. I was 10 when I dicovered them in 1994. Blew my mind. I have seen him in concert with Audioslave, and by him self. I had bought tickets to finally see him play with Soundgarden, the band he got famous with. I was so excited. And then 4 days before the show he took his life. I cannot tell you how heartbroken I was. I can still remember me sobbing over my computer reading the news. He was one of a kind. I'm just glad I got to see him live at all.

Chester could sing like an Angel and scream like a Demon. I loved hearing both of them singing together, harmonizing so well. I first heard Linkin Park in the Army back in 2001 just out of basic training watching "In the End" music video. At first I didn't like Mike's rapping part, but I grew to love it. I've always loved Chester's vocals. I heard about what happened to him 1 day after it happened randomly looking around KZbin, actually cried for someone I never met. "Who cares if one more light goes out? WELL I DO!" Stay safe.

There’s no need to worry or apologize, because tragedy is an emotional experience. So it’s absolutely understandable when the emotions take over. This was the first Linkin Park song I ever heard, seeing the official video, and as soon as the chorus hit I loved it. Chris + Chester also teamed up to sing “Hunger Strike” live, when Chris was with his band and Chester was the guest. That one is very special, too. Rest In Peace to two restless souls who deserve to know peace forever.

I love the fact that you make it a point, to give Mike Shinoda recognition for Linkin Parks success! He co-founded the band in 1996 and contributes as their rhythm guitarist, singer, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. He also formed a rap group called “Fort Minor” & has a solo album which you should also check out! Needless to say Linkin Park probably wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for him..he’s a musical genius and legend for creating a new genre, that many bands today try to mimic.
