Here's what I want to say: I really enjoy your outings. I learn so much and never thought I'd appreciate the information you give so clearly. Thank you for continuing to go out especially with the price of gas. Wish I had extra ca$h to share but things are so tight right now. Thank you for seeking your 'joy'.

Great video, it brings back many memories of exploring Nevada ghost towns & mines as a boy. The average person doesn't realize or appreciate how diverse & beautiful the desert is. I particularly enjoyed exploring old mill sites. This one is surprisingly intact & as an artist, I loved much of the graffiti art you found here. When my family first visited the ghost town of Delamar, Nv., we found the famous "Widowmaker" stamp mill still standing & in surprisingly good condition, but didn't explore it thoroughly. It was 20 years before I returned & sadly, the entire mill building had been razed. I look forward to exploring more of your videos!

Been there several times before the graffiti. The place is called Vanderbilt on the map. There are a series of boarded up mines in the hills behind this processing plant.

The control center was intact and had paperwork spread around it. BTW my last visit was in 2015 or 2016 if I remember correctly.

I found documents in the other building. This plant was operating in the 90's if I remember correctly.

Good video. For me personally, graffiti makes the USA look like a third world country. I'm sick of people tagging other people's property. From walls to train cars with their stupid cans of spray paint it's a sign of low intelligence low class.

@@RomeoJuju and the bigger issue of while the cut out stuff is neat and impressive art/ it was a good part of what made this area famous for other taggers and part of why there is so much of the extra trash grafitti all over this site.

Would it be possible to learn the location?

That was a great tour! Much appreciated. That was a very large capital investment to put that operation in place. I'm curious if it was profitable. The milling operation used a LOT of water, and it's the desert. What was their source? And finally, I'm amazed that it hasn't been sold to scrap metal scavengers at any of the several times that scrap has been high value in recent years. If any viewers know the name of this operation I would appreciate that info. I'd like to read up on it, if any info is out there.

Since this is hardly a secret, pristine location that needs to be protected from vandals and miscreants, I'm going to tell you. This is the Goldome Mill located in the Mojave Preserve.

Good morning Sir, this location may be a good place for a Doomsday blockbuster.Also be carefull climbing in a abandonned factory facility. It may have some not wanted surprices. Greatings from your German fan 👍 🇺🇸 🇩🇪.

Well it is nice to see what was a modern mining operation adventure and the way you explained it was educational as to how in ran .BUT it is sad to see in some people's minds all the graffiti it seems to me it takes away from the historical value .Just my opinion but it is what it is still enjoyed it .. Thank you for the tag along ⛏️💰🏆🇺🇸

Where did they get their water supply?
@potatothorn2 жыл бұрын
wells. the area has some water in the ground but not much. What put a lot of people out of business in this region was people drawing too much water and screwing up their neighbors wells.

Indecline is the group responsible for most of the more impressive artwork. they do Big projects all over the desert/ and smaller ones in others. You can see their marks all over the desert and a few along 5 as well/ mostly in places where it is more like art and less like vandalism. Quite the impressive site for numerous reasons thanks for showing us around.

You gotta start wearing those big masks that clean the air before it gets too your nose/ mouth. Who knows what kind of asbestos and other harsh chemicals are in the mines or what is bad in their for your respiratory system. Great videos love watching and seeing all these old semi old spots!!
