Honestly, I prefer it with ground beef! I think the flavours all incorporate way better and it seems to go better with the rice as well!
@Tabasco-4-Life11 ай бұрын
You can also cook your ground beef into small patties which I prefer. Both al denta cooked cabbage and green beans freeze and reheat well for frozen meals. On a side note so does kale (also remember to cook it al denta) if you want just to make some season kale and rice meals/sides for the freezer. Note by under cooking the vegetables to leave them with a crunch, will keep them from being mushy when reheated.

We use a salad spinner to dry our blanched cauliflower and broccoli etc then on a tray with a fan blowing over them. Use what we want bag and freeze/fridge the rest for later, mostly we add the florets to stir fried rice. Not done the Bulgogi mince before but we will and i like the idea of making larger batches and freezing more time up front but you save alot of time later as well as the cost of energy not to mention the washing up. Thank you for the recipes hope you have a wonderful christmas and a happy new year, Take care, God bless one and all.

My husband and I live in Korea. Since we both work part time it's really hard for us to cook healthy meals during the week. A lot of the meal prep recipes I've seen online use ingredients that aren't easy to find or affordable for us (no Emart, Homeplus, or Lotte Mart where we live T.T). But your recipe is exactly what we need, I'm excited to try it out!

Watched the video. Needed to cook up some beef sitting in my fridge. Became too soupy so I ladled out most of the liquid so the meat could brown. Used the "gravy" on the rice and altogether with Costco jug of kimchi it turned out AMAZING. Merry Christmas 🇨🇦

I have been making a similar ground beef bulgogi for a few years. So glad I can now make it proudly, like I'm not breaking any rules! Lol I like to grate an apple to saute with the beef to mimic the asian pear or kiwi. Gives a great sweetness. But if you don't have an apple, just use what ever you have. Don't worry about it! it will be fantastic!

I made this tonight and it was awesome! My whole house smells like a Korean BBQ joint. Love it! It doesn't have quite the punchy flavor I was expecting, though. I might try broiling some of it, or trying to get a bit of chr on it somehow to simulate the tableside grilling flavor a bit more. Or maybe higher heat... Not sure. Oh, and I'll definitely let it marinate more than 15 minutes. 😆

@AaronandClaire Hey Aaron, thank you for the recipe. I tried it and it's absolutely delicious. However, could you please tell me the fat content of the ground beef you're using? Because according to your recipe, you're using 200g beef per portion, with normal ground beef that's already around 510 cal, plus around 270 cal for half a cup of rice. So with the added sugar, mirin, and oil, I easily reach 1050 cal for an portion, not the 880 cal you mention in your recipe. Am I doing something wrong, or are korean cows just more lean than our european ones? :D
