This Gunpla Build Took Me 20 Years! | Wing Gundam MG 1/100 Ver.Ka

Toonami wasn't just my gateway into anime, it also lead me to my first massive walking machines of war: The Gundams!
As a millennial in the U.S. the series to do this was Wing, because how could I say no to the Boy-band group of Pilots fighting for independence??
This Wing Gundam MG 1/100 Ver.Ka kit I bought around 20 years ago at an anime convention and I've been keeping it ever since. I think it's high time to break it out and get to building!

you can use various kinds of flat pliers to press together pieces that take too much strength for fingers. If you're worried about damaging the parts, you can put tape around the ends so the parts don't touch the metal directly (or buy pliers specifically for this purpose that come with insulation).

I am also team 20 years. all because of gundam wing Build my "first" gunpla in 2023 september again after being in Gundam factory yokohama! which was originally to be a souveneir only - the RG unicorn perfectibility. I fell in love after! my real first kit was in 2013 a no grade 1/144 altron. It's been a year 3 months now and I am 57/103 thru my backlog!

First, that dress looks so good on you. Great video. It really did come together nicely. The whole build was very cool to watch. Especially the live parts. Its bigger than I thought it was going to be. Little oops happen, its ok. Yes it was different not having you on screen the whole time, but I think it worked well for this video. Same story! Thought Power Rangers were lame af, but dug the Megazord. Then Toonami a Wing hit me like a ton of bricks, pursed art school and somehow ended up a race car driver!?! Not sure where the turn happened, but just got back into Gunpla in the last year recovering from injury. P.S. totally agree, Wing Zero needed more love than Endless Waltz Zero

Same here. First exposure was the Gundam Wing series. My friends got me into it and ended up as a massive fan of the Unicorn gundams and have built MG of all three. Worst, expensive hobby ever but definitely was good times with friends. Maybe one day ill finish the P-bandai MG jesta cannon i started 3+ years ago

Ah, my very first MG kit. That model always grabbed people's attention when they saw it. What happened to the barrel of the buster rifle? It seems to be missing there. The extra energy capacitors on its arms were such a cool idea and upgrade to the original TV version. Which reminds me, I really need to finish up my RG Wing EW.

Wanna say I heard somewhere that we got the EW version because female fans didn't like the original look because it was too bug like or something. One day I'll get this kit but I've got that massive Dendrobium collecting dust on my shelf that should be done first.
