I'm in the UK, my grandad was evacuated from London in WWII and placed with a "good Christian couple". However, behind closed doors they were alcoholics who took turns physically abusing and shouting at each other - certainly not a suitable environment for a child. Things got so bad that he wrote home to tell his mother what was going on. She actually decided that he'd be safer with the bombing than with this couple, so she brought him back to London. He's still alive now and didn't have to suffer that trauma anymore, so in hindsight I think she made the right decision.

Porn is already getting banned in some places. I'm unfortunate enough to be living in Kansas and they just started requiring people use their IDs to access porn. Several porn websites have completely blocked all access here and in a handful of states since they realize no one wants their private information on a porn website which im sure the legislators knew when they passed the bill.
