The way I like framing left vs right is reducing vs increasing hierarchy. The focus here being on outcomes rather than specific policies or superficial rhetoric. The key insight this framing provides is explaining away horseshoe theory as a result of aesthetics rather than ideological substance or aims.

The examples you give at the beginning of the video all derive from this basic principle. What ideas are left and right shifts over time: support for male only, landowners only voting rights used to be left wing, under monarchy when their were no voting rights at all. The further you have to go back in time for an idea to be considered left wing, the further on the right it is (hence "far right"). You very correctly identified fascism as "right wing ideas aimed at the little guys", i.e. the claim that reverting to an old society standard will solve the common people's problems.

sorry, I agree that prager u is batshit insane but you might have the most biased take of far left and far right possible. Actual far left would be that current racial minorities would hold power over those who previously oppressed them (white people) and white people would be required to pay reparations for thier "past sins". The government would be a form of communism or socialism (yes ik they're not the same, I'm just saying these are the 2 main options) where everything would be distributed equally or distributed far more equally than it currently is. All forms of social progressivism would be protected under law including those that prevent speech against them (again this is far left we're talking about not regular left). Anything involving sexual identity and transgenderism would be brought to the forefront in a way of normalisation and everyone would be equal (apart from the whites who deserve to be brought down a peg for being colonisers and oppressors for so long). Everyone would also be expected to walk on eggshells as a single microaggression or precieved threat could result in public excommunication and/jailing as a way to protect others. That's what actual far leftism would be. Like how far rightism would be whites are considered superior to every other race (laws reflect this by being racist), religion would be a part of every facet of government, there would be 0 public funding programs and companies would rein supreme (radical capitalism). Anything regarding gender expression and transgenderism would be banned with bullying being encouraged to any inviduals who display these traits. Guns would be inherent rights that would have no restrictions or limits, abortion would not only be illegal but punishable by death for being done (including cases of rape). Atheists and dissenters are likely to be put in jail to reeducate them and nationalism would become hitler-esk. There's other stuff like immigration that I haven't specified but you get the picture... far left and far right are both horrific to live under (with them both becoming nanny states to their own form of policies). It's just depressing to see people happy to label themselves far left as they just use their definition of far left instead of the actual one.
