I think they've put him on a ventilator, because my friend had a tumor taken off her throat, and it took her along time to get her voice back, they told her she may lose her voice, may have a whisper or sound like she has smoked her whole life, she barely had a whisper, and it really was hard on her, slowly it got better but it took years. He's still young, he can still find a job even just online. I used to have a fortunate millionaire patient. He was quadriplegic. The only part of his body that moves was his toes. He made a fortune out of it. He uses his toes to sell and buy stocks online using his computer. He was so rich that he has a big mansion and can afford to pay a 24 hr caregiver and some servants. Your friend has hope. He has a brain, he has a hands and 1 leg that works, the next thing he needs is motivation coupled by faith and a will to survive and get out of that unfortunate place. Actually his home is better than many of my countrymen. Some of us lived in the cemeteries, squatters, shanty bamboo houses but we have families and neighbors that look out at each other like you and that nice lady friend.
