After a final show in Paris on July 13, Guns N’ Roses went directly to Argentina, where the closing show of their world tour was to take place four days later at the River Plate Stadium, which holds 70,000 people in Buenos Aires.
What stood out in this show was the long hug between the two at the end of the performance. Little did they know the significance that gesture would hold, more than 20 years later, for millions of fans around the world.
Indirectly, it was the end of an era, and a cycle was closing there. It was as if they knew it.
