Unfortunately our country has so changed in the last 2 years it is almost unrecognizable. We do not have the freedom to speak or to share our humor in just a short period of time. Skits like this poke fun at us all but today the social media basement dwellers would probably demand the cancellation of SNL.

@@becksullivan4796 Horse puckey. What,you think "cancel culture" as the buttsore brigade calls it,is something new? Either you're young or you've had your head buried in the sand. And what's particularly galling is a lot of the same people crying about the loss of freedom of speech,or espression,as they see it,are the same ones who were at the forefront of trying to kill things THEY didn't like. Like heavy metal. Or rap music. Dungeons and dragons. Video games. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The Teletubbies. Sesame Street. And PLENTY of other shows,movies and music I can recall the religious right trying to cancel going all the way back to the when I was a young teenager. Because the first one I can remember them losing their collective shit over was the brilliant and hilarious sitcom titles "SOAP". All because it had a gay character,played by Billy Crystal. That was around 1976 or 77. Threes Company drove them up the wall to,now that I think on it.
@wreckingKREW13 жыл бұрын
@@becksullivan4796 Also,SNL has done plenty of way more racially and politically chest out skits than this since this one aired. Like almost every episode. The only ones I see crying,pissing and moaning about them are the same ones who cry,piss and moan about "cancel culture". When they're not too busy trying to cancel Coke. Or MLB. The NFL. Delta. I can keep going.

Ohhh yes! That one was awesome! I've loved SNL since it came out in the 1970s and it's always been on point with whatever's been going on in the world. That's WHY when ppl start crying now saying it's getting too political... I'm like seriously, have you NOT SEEN this show before? They've busted chops on pretty much everything political going on since day one~PICK A DECADE, ANY 1 AND TRUST ME YOU'LL FIND THEM BREAKING BALLS ON SOMEONE OR SOMETHING. NOONE is off limits~EVER! THAT'S what has made this show great cuz they don't take any crap AND they don't have to cuz of their timeslot. They made the point of being late night so they WOULDN'T HAVE issues with sponsors pulling out and language being questioned cuz it'd possibly violate ethics cuz kids might hear it. TELL your kids to get to bed! IT was put on at an hour that all the networks considered was way past any time that young kids should be awake. Nighty night! Put your points on and go upstairs NOW! LOL! 😂
