Hey man I know this it totally random but I watched one of your old videos and it looks like you live in Colorado. I have 3 rx7's years ranging from 84 to 86 and the rotary motor owns my passion for cars. I'm also located in Colorado and I would kill to lay eyes on your 8 rotor motor. I have to know how you do it. If you get this message I'd love to hear back from you. Thanks for doing what you do man it's awesome. My Instagram is kevinodabearsh, hope to hear from you.

I was always under the impression, from the cages I've done in the past, that your seat brackets are supposed to be connected to the cage and not the body of the car. That way if you hit something and the cage moves the seat moves with the cage, otherwise the cage potentially hits you and now you're sitting outside of it. I'm not a drag racer though, I just would have thought that would have been in your rule book.
@ldnwholesale8552
@ldnwholesale8552 3 жыл бұрын
That is valid in speedway, possibly drags after a certain speed. Not valid for road racing however. Though some of those 'kits' for mounting seats are very dodgey

Next time you need to drill out spot welds, use that belt sander that you got, grind the spot weld and you can watch as you go through each layer of metal

Next time, use your Astro belt sander to sand away the spot welds, instead of drilling and air chisel.....you won't ever go back to drilling, unless it's something you want to spot weld back on.

Hey stuff happens, at least your doing work to the RX7 that will make it more enjoyable. The cage in the S2000 looks sweet. I know the guys who build towers for sport fishing boats use products like woodys wax to help with oxidation. That’s on galvanized aluminum though. If you wanted to keep that raw shiny look on the chromoly, what would you use to protect it?

Drag racing,, a 100 stupid rules with barwork Yet you can run 200 mph with 20mph brakes! Ally tailshaft will be a problem. Not only are they weaker but usually 3.5 or 4" which causes all sorts of dramas with the floor. A proper steel one is best and cheapest as well.
