I've been also using Stantler. I've had hypnosis on it but I got rid of it for attacking move.

I don't get the Stone Edge nd Rock Blast choice. You could have only chosen one of them and prioritize Protect or Recover.

I think Rock Blast was to hit Dragonite through Multiscale and Focus Sash mons (like Chien Pao, some flutter and Chi Yu)while Stone Edge for the raw power to like one shot Bundle and other mons I'm assuming.

Wait... what if they Taunt the Stantler?

Taunt is not very common and it's meant to be a BO1 team. And not many people know Stantler gets TR also. If they Taunt Stantler, either they know the team or you are very unlucky.

you kinda have to look out for prominent users like gyarados and talonflame and either play around it or count on the opposing player not knowing what's to come

Why not just use Throat Spray on Sylveon, it would boost its Sp Atk and not lock it to one move

Immediate damage which can be huge for Hard Trick Room being the difference in getting knock outs before your opponent can stall out Trick Room. Sylveon is mainly clicking Hyper Voice for its attack most of the time anyway.
