This has got to be the best campsite in Scotland. Stunning Views!!!

In this video we spend the first three days of our week summer camping trip to Scotland at a site called the Glen Nevis campsite which is situated at the foot of Ben Nevis which id the tallest mountain in the UK.
From here we managed to summit Ben Nevis and also visit a local attraction called Steall Falls which is a hike along the top of some steep ravines and crossing over a wire bridge to get to a fairly huge water fall cascading over the top of a cliff face.

Thick as mince lol heat the square thing on the cheese side of the pizza, get it red hot, then put the pizza on the Coldstream shut the lid and put it on the heat! Easy!!!

Tried that Fraser but the experience we had with it is because its cast aluminium, it doesn't stay hot enough or get hot enough to cook the cheese properly before the bottom of the pizza has gone black. Thanks for watching

@@itsthenortherners you need to heat it more then. Another way is to heat stones and put them on it. It can be done believe me. You're expecting results quickly. Take your time and don't heat the underside of the pizza too much/quickly

Just a gentle hint, you must be careful in cooling down and reheating rice,if not done correctly you can be very ill or in extreme cases could even die, so google Is it safe to reheat rice,,so you are armed with the facts. Absolutely no criticism implied.

We’re jealous! We’ve been up that way countless times and never been up Ben Nevis but we’ll hopefully get up it this winter 🤞🏼

The walk up itself is pretty straightforward......its just that its all uphill from the first step 😆 get yourselfs up their but book a table at the Ben Nevis in and reward yourself on the way back with a victory meal and a couple of beers, its just at the start of the track up to Ben Nevis.

Completely agree about the ridge monkey being over rated, we've found the only thing it's good at is toasties!! Everything else either sticks or it drips fat all over our hob from the top pan 🙈 we bought both sizes because we were led to believe it was a campervan essential 🤣

When first opened it i thought why i have bought a square frying pan with a lid, as i can do everything in a normal frying pan that i can do with that, ill just make a lid out of tinfoil if i need one 😅 you live and learn. We only bought the one though.👍

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Fancy trying Scotland next year for a weeks camping, just a bit put by the midges, what’s the best time of year to visit to avoid the little blighters ? or are they around all year up there

Thanks for watching, we went to the same place at the same time of year last year and the midges were really bad, but this year there was hardly any but we were plagued with wasp but i was told the best time is around May to avoid the midge.

Its a really nice site and the views ( providing you get them ) are stunning. As for the hike, if you go on the tourist route which we did it is not technical at all but it is up hill all the way and its very , very long 😄. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching the video.

Yes the facilities were really nice and clean, there is a pub/ restaurant at the foot of Ben Nevis which is well within walking distance turning left out of the site and there is another restaurant/ bar if you turn right out the site and its a 10 minute walk straight up.
