Tonight, as the Arizona Coyotes rolled into Toronto to face the Maple Leafs, we got a big game. After 85 days, we saw the return of Joseph Woll in net, the return of Alex Kerfoot to Toronto, Auston Matthews scoring his 53rd goal and its still technically only February, he’s on pace for 74 now by the way, we got a good fight between O’Brien and Reaves and we saw Mitch Marner playing Defence? On top of all that though, we also saw the Maple Leafs achieve something they hadn’t since 2002, specifically Oct 17th of 2002 which ironically, is also the Birthdate of Arizona born Matthew Knies. The Maple Leafs beat the Coyotes at home in regulation for the first time in over 2 decades! I cover that and much more in todays NHL hockey recap!

Speaking of Ryan Reaves, I was at the Oct. 17, 2017 Pens vs Preds 1st rematch game since the Pens cup win and he went NUTS on everybody. I think 4 fights and he went 4-0. The entire place was goin unbelievably crazy from start to finish. The man has a role on the ice, Hype Man, and does it quite well.

Did anyone notice the one woman screaming full tilt in the third period? I believe it started as the Coyotes howl, but evolved to what must have been an eardrum shattering scream as I can only assume she was hammered and loving it. I could tell she was absolutely sending it because it was so easy to hear during the stream. It was really cracking me up.

Subtract a couple lockout seasons, and maybe a couple of Covid seasons....every team should still have visited every other team at least 16 times in 22 years. I don’t know what that GM is at but he is just watching all the good dmen available be snatched up!!! If we are gonna go deep this year a top 4 defender is a must. We don’t need a 20 goal a year defender we need a big body that can crush players and is a stay at home Dman!!! We really should have gotten zadorov or Tanev but I’d say the flames never wanted to do a deal with their x GM unless the package was better than good!! I know I would have done the same if I were the flames!!!

So the mistake he did was trying to see if the puck goes on rather than turning to orient better to hit the boards. That made him unable to rotate around.
