What the hell did we just witness?

If you’re going to get to the Stanley Cup Final, there will always be a moment or 2 you look back on that got you there. Bobrovsky's out of this world save in last nights game, was one of those moments. This was a 2 - 2 hockey game. The next goal was going to end up being the winner of this massive game so with Dumba looking at a wide open net, it looked all but over and yet, a diving Sergei Bobrovsky made an acrobatic save unlike anything I've ever seen in the NHL Playoffs. But it wasn't just Bobrovsky that had a highlight reel game. This was a goalie duel for the ages as Andrei Vasilevskiy showed why he’s one of the best in the world on the other end. Its these types of performances that will drive any team they face insane. You can do the right things, outplay a team all night but if you can’t beat the goalie, it can leave you questioning it all. So last night as the Lightning and Panthers squared off for a massive game 2, it was Florida with a couple in the first to make it 2 nothing. Then it was the Lightning, with a couple in the 2nd to square it up. From there, we had the maniacs between the pipes take over to the extent I had to ask myself, what the hell am I witnessing? I was at this game on Tuesday night, the crowds' reaction to that save was unbelievable. We really were celebrating like it was a goal. The whole arena erupted into "BOB-BY BOB-BY" chants. Even on our way out of the arena everyone was chanting Bobby's name.

I was in awe watching both goalies. Being a soccer goalie myself (different sport). Having experience as the last line of defense. I’m always watching how goalies play. These two where phenomenal!! Goalies need skill and little bit of luck here and there. We always take some luck as Bobrob saving that jumping backwards goal!!! That was awesome!!! With little lucky charm puck was shot up at him but hey, lightning player had a lot of other places to shot, wrong place 🤣 love it!!! When the puck or ball is a pin ball just make yourself big as hell and try to stop it. These two had laser beam eyes on the puck, moved quick and smooth.

I’m from Toronto, but I’m a proud 4th generation Leaf hater. Last year second round when panthers roasted the leafs because of officer Robsky I instantly became a Florida fan and I’m glad I did because watching this dude is something else. I’ve been a goalie for 31 years now and we haven’t seen tending like this since the likes of brodeaur or hasek. Absolutely love it! Bobs a fuckin total beauty. It can’t be understated though even though down 3 vasi is an absolute monster. This was a duel for the ages.
