All these years of experience and this man just freely gives all these tips and tricks. Love the community you built Scotty. I personally never take my car to mechanics because I'd rather do it myself and make sure it gets done right and I don't get ripped off. You're the only mechanic that I'd trust to work on my car though that's for sure! I hope when I'm your age one day that I will have the knowledge and energy to teach others like you do. I look forward to the 2-3 videos of great content I get a day from ya. Hope life is and stays well for you for a long time :)

Love these repair vids! Never had that issue on any of my K20s, wonder if the K24s are more prone to it. As for that leaf trick, I prefer a bit of masking tape, tends not to fall off if you're working on more sensitive parts like a valve train.

Great heaven. That was an amazing leaf trick. Why did I just learned that now. That could have saved me from dropping bolt and nuts on a tight space. This is why Scotty is one of my idol on car repair.

You are by far the best mechanic. I for one appreciate your input on everything. BTW, what do you think of the Honda Pilots? I have a 2010 Pilot with about 82000 miles on it.

Lmao, Scotty is right tho, its a pain in the 🍑 to put that thing back in... better is to watch a pic on google to know where to aim with the bolt 🍌

The leaf trick is nice. I usually roll a tiny piece of tape around in a small ball and put that in the socket to hold the bolt

I have a money pit older bmw. This would've been super helpful a month ago when I changed my oil filter housing gasket, but I'm sure I'll be able to use this info in the future... Because old money pit bmw. Nice trick with the leaf/bolt, BTW.

@@imasmileydog8043 I know... I know... It was given to me and I work on it myself. It's a passion car for me (family owned). I would get a super reliable old Carolla, but they're just so boring :-(
