The XK 450 Aviator is my favorite flying machine. That is because it came complete, does amazing things, is easy to fly, is controversial, costs under $100, is easy to take in the car, and it can fly anywhere! Plus there were no extras to buy, as it came with a Receiver, Transmitter, Battery, Charger, and Spare Props, unlike the Mini Convergence and it's also easier to fly than the X-Vert. I found in the vertical to hover sideways into the wind rather than bottom or top as it acts like a sail :)

Yes, I mentioned that in the video. It needs a knife edge flight into the wind, like my Xvert, but the transition switch allows instant recovery and landing, which the Xvert does not have. Thanks.

Great video Dave. I have Eflite convergance and mini comvergance. both lots of and and I have FPV on the larger one.

I opted for this over the Mini Convergence, because it came complete for less money on sale at Banggood, ready to fly, (even lights) where the convergence needed a tx and battery. Either way, they are fun to fly. Too bad the big convergence was discontinued, but I heard it had problems. Thanks for commenting and happy flying.

Brilliant flight, of course we have to remember you are the absolute expert in rotor flying. I suspect my performance with the same machine may not be as smooth and accomplished. Sounds like a great price to find out for myself The current Banggood listing is a little more expensive but not much.

I bought the HH version and it would not lift off without flipping over. HH sent me a new one and instead of flipping over it would roll over on take-off.

The big Horizon Hobbies Convergence was discontinued so I am glad I did not buy one. I opted for this over HH's mini because this one came complete with radio, and 1000 mAh battery and even bought a spare. Both work, as you can see, as advertised, so I am pleased. Thanks and happy flying.

I had the Eflite Osprey but it does not like aerobatics and goes into an uncontrollable flat spin and crashed. Luckily no damage as it landed soft grass. Sp avoid that one if you like aerobatics.
