Bro you can finish USSR as germany in both mods in 1941 fastest, or early 1942. Just Rush with tanks and Encircle their whole army ,hold encirclement with infantry and rush down the whole country, the most important thing is speed, the moment you stop encircling and rushing, you lose. Also, it is recommended to spam 1 battalion para divs, and paradrop everywhere in UK quick , or at least para drop them everywhere in the middleeast and take the oil, better para drop inland first ,after para dropping inland, the enemies units in port will highly likely move to kill the inland units, that's when you drop at all the ports and land your tanks and army. Bruh if that's how you play it of course you're gonna get smashed. Your tank divisions, like in real life, are precise surgical instruments meant to operate tactically in corps like groups. If you just let them follow the hoi4 battle plans with occasional input, don't expect a good Barbarossa. Also, supply and terrain modifiers are a major consideration in this mod, which means special equipment and support battalions must be used. Also the ideal number of panzer divisions for barb is 20+, so the ideal tank is typically a good cheaper carry over from the earlier Fall Gelb Panzer IVs that are able to equip the 75mm KwK37 short barrel close support gun that is unlocked at the beginning of the game, which is very good for what it is and able to smash infantry, and tanks especially if you also carry the Heavy AA Flak 88 support battalion as it has great AT capabilities for much of the war. Usually if you invest into Dual Purpose 88 Heavy Flak you don't need any other AT in divisions until later in the war when heavier and medium PAK guns overtake them in performance. Also once you unlock the long barrel KwK 40 L/48 powerhouse tank gun and the Panzer IV F2 late powered turret module, then start producing equivalents of the Panzer IV F2 with them for a significant increase in performance. Still the main issue was your micro. No where else than in BICE is the aggregate of many small advantages required to achieve success in the field. Alt history strategies usually revolve around small alterations from what Germany actually did in WW2, such as in terms of tank research and choice of armaments. Other than that one generally follows Germany's actions in real life to achieve Germany's successes. Personally, I'm usually able to destroy the Soviet Union in 1941, or at least achieve the AA line and cripple their military completely. In BICE mode difficulty i'm usually able to cap them in the Urals in summer 1942. You know your offensive is working when the biggest delay is waiting weeks for captured railways to swap over to catch up to supply hubs.

The reason why the French did not attack is because they have something called the mag line and the reason why the marginal line existed is because it covers a large area with small amount of man power l and they only got flanked because Belgium cannot do it job

@@thecollector6392 The whole point of the maginot was to force germany to only be able to attack through the low countries, in order to create a shorter defensive line. Everyone knew they were going to attack through Belgium. The best of the french troops and the whole British force were sent to defend belgium and the Netherlands. What they actually didn't expect was for Germany to be able to send all their tanks through the ardennes and break through. They had hardly anything there and couldn't respond when germany crossed the forest, which the french thought would be impossible to do. From there the germans managed to reach the english channel and cut off the cream of allied forces, which was when dunkirk happened.

1. Stability is king in black ice. Try to maximise your stab. You can be at 90-100 stab if you play semi well. 2. The modifiers you gain from lack of food/oil kill you. Prioitize them above all else.

7:05 the French did attack, they launched an offensive, then the entire French army was held back by a German machine gun for a little over a day, then they pushed almost uncontested through the German countryside, then they just turned around and went back to France.

I had exactly the same problem with the Soviets, in the first month i made massive tank encirclements, let the red army suffer 1.2 million casulties till August, but then I realised.. there was no ending! The Soviet army stabilized the whole front at a line from Narwa - Smolensk - Kiew and.. STARTED TO PUSH BACK! The Wehrmacht was slowly running out of equipment, there was fuel left for 62 days in the silos and the well trained Luftwaffel had a minus of 400 fighters by a k/d statistic from 7 to 1 to the red air fleet. And I began to realise, that I, der Oberbefehlshaber der deutschen Wehrmacht, have made a mistake by choosing the attack for more Lebensraum in the east against the mighty soviet union.

as a guy who defeated entire allies and soviets (later defeated german as soviets) blackice is not hard at all.Only problem with black ice is there is too much equipment to product and using them efficiently.The real hard mod is world ablaze which ai gets huge buffs like no resource debuffs or unlimited division production and also general buffs etc.
