I’d recommend you guys to make a tour at the historic parts of the city to emerge into a different atmosphere and understand more about Rio’s history and Brazilian history, consequently. Visit the Centro, Lapa, Santa Teresa, and Saúde neighborhood If you could, contract tour guides to lead you around these areas. I truly believe y’all love it

Places that i’d recommend to visit in a next opportunity: - Salvador da Bahia, - Recife, - Amazon forest, - São Paulo city - Portuguese-Brazilian cities of the State of Minas Gerais. - Other European ethnic cities (of German, Italian, Ukrainian, Swiss and even Finnish) spread around Southern and Southeastern Brazil. Many might not know the origins of the Christ Redeemer but it was because Princess Isabel, the one who signed the law against slavery in Brazil. I was involved in hang gliding for many years (in my younger days!) Joen the pilot you had was a pig. You need to try it again somewhere else with a better pilot. Sounds like that guy was just sick of tourists so he shouldn't be taking tandems. Try it again!

This was very helpful. I will be in Rio this weekend and was debating between the two. Basically the same cost but this confirmed it for me and I just booked the helicopter. Why risk getting a bad guide plus 7-15 minutes vs a 30 minute ride. Thanks!
