Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Theo if you have an ear infection that is draining matter, you likely have a ruptured drum. Never immerse your head in any water, even shower. The lake water is a definite no. Not until all healed. The other problem is altitude changes and pressure increase inside inside the ear. If unable t equalize, you will perforate ear drum and if it perforated towards inside of ear, lose hearing permanently sometimes. I’m a licensed Nurse Practitioner and hope you will heed this advise. You are such a stoic and strong guy that will work himself to the bone. Slow down and get some rest. I hope your time in UK will be a good reset. I enjoy the quiet scenery wherever you film. P.s.do not put anything into the ear if the eardrum has ruptured. No hydrogen peroxide, no oil. Keep the ear dry and follow up with MD to make sure healing of eardrum is resolved. Might take a month.

Untreated ear infections can lead to mastoiditis (bone infection), surgery, and/or deafness. I've been there. Don't take it lightly.

The plastering looks SO great around the beams and the edges, and in general. I'd be tempted to leave the walls as-is, without any surface tinting or white limewash. The natural color is beautiful. Kudos!

I don't think it can ever be washed and paint would seal it so it wouldn't be able to breathe. I think the color is GREAT as is. Highlights the rocks and wood colors.

Whenever a doctor is rude or obnoxious here in Portugal Theo, do note you can like in other countries to file a complaint against him/her as the SNS does take those situations seriously, and also you have the right to call on for another doctor if you feel he/she is not up to standards, nevertheless wish you a speedy recovery, had a nasty ear infection 2 years ago that started to mess with my balance and it was not funny I´ll tell you that. I´m currently finishing my full renovation on my villa near the town of Alcochete (Portugal) and at times I felt like kick everything to hell and quit but seeing the end result I know thank god and all the help I had, that I didn´t.. so I truly can relate with you guys., it has its ups and downs and we do struggle at times but it´s so rewarding at the end, that was the main reason I started to watch your channel btw guys, now can´t get a week without it.. The break away from the project and visiting family and friends will help you guys a lot I´m sure. Best of luck and enjoy your vacation, you earned it.

I love the way the barn is looking! The walls contrast with the ceiling is so beautiful! Peeling tape off after painting is incredibly satisfying and exciting! I paint with watercolor and tape along the edges. Taking that tape off and seeing the final results is rewarding. I hope Bee is feeling ok. I'm sure she can't wait to go see family. My daughter's both had ear infection's from lake water. He asked they wear ear plugs. E.N.T. can customize it for you. Plus he asked NO SWIMMING. No water in their ears.. BEST to both ears. What a fabulous place you live in it is so peaceful and to have that lovely lake to cool off in. The walls are fabulous you no longer have a barn you a home. When people get sick as both of you have done in different ways it's the body's way of saying stop and rest. I'm so glad you're going back to be with your families. You just have to get through the quarantine period which as you said Theo you can just completely rest during which will be exactly what you both need. Here too! Been watching both couples for years and also Eamon and Bec - probably spelled wrong. Hard working all 3 couples but the Canadians seem to take a bit better care of themselves. Oh - and I also watch... sheesh - can't remember their channels name but it's Jordan and... sheesh! She's also expecting around the same time Allie and they traveled along side Trent and Allie and they live on Lola's Farm in Panama. Kaylee! - and I know that's spelled wrong. I'm old and forgetful. LoL These channels are so much fun to watch. My oldest and her husband are preparing to set off on their own adventures as soon as this pandemic gets under more control. It's been put off because their plans were to go to Japan right before everything hit. They had things moving along and then - like everyone else - their plans changed. Luckily they hadn't left their jobs here (U.S.) yet and have been able to keep even better preparing and even make possible "other" plans. I'm so happy with all of these young people just moving ahead with their lives while staying happy, safe, and productive! I think Bee just got over-done and they have been working so crazy long and hard. I hope they continue safe while in the UK with this new strain of COVID. It's a bit scary right now and I could wish they were staying in Portugal, but things need change for them now and they're smart. I hope to hear good things from them.

The Farm house looks stupendous! So grateful to know theres a plan. I would leave the blue protective wrap on as long as possible, you're such a lad.
