No, the rules were followed and the other woman consented to being in the ring with Khelif. Khelif is an athlete who followed the rules and, unfortunately, has an intersex condition that is no choice of her own and must make life very difficult. This person has XY chromosomes, internal testes and went through male puberty which in itself gives an unfair advantage. He may be intersex but his physicality is predominantly masculine. Most of the media is even playing this game. I've seen this guy not only referred to as 'she', not only referred to as a 'woman', but I've actually seen news articles where he is referred to as 'female'. Whilst I disagree with them, activists have long said pronouns refer to gender, which is fluid, so 'she' and 'woman' get a pass, but 'female' is a biological distinction, and this guy is MALE. It's impossible for him to ever be female, but the news is reporting as though he is. It's utterly insane. I want the 80's back.
