Best breed of dog ever. Their intelligence is matched only by their stupidity. Keep their belly full bed warm and hearts loved and you will have yourself one of the most loving loyal tolerant hilarious dogs you can find. Yes they are strong willed and a firmness is required from the owners at times but make no mistake they are the most goofy loving tactile breed around. If you have never owned one you dont know anything like every breed of dog you get out of them what you put it. Never aggressive even while being mauled by badly trained dogs. We took him on 2 year caravan trip around Australia. I can recall one story of back in the day concerning the training of the first even pit fighting dog (in Quarry Bank, black country) , the Staffordshire bull terrier (and not the English bull terrier show dog)...They kept the said dog in a box around 5 to 6 foot square, in total darkness for around 6 weeks...every 3 to 4 days the trainer would throw in a stray cat as food !...Then after 6 weeks the dog was read for stamina training, which many trainers had their own secrets ways of training their pit dog (staffie), but this particular trainer would throw his dog into the nearest canel connected to a lead (there are many canals by we in Quarry Bank), and he would only pull the dog out when he tired out and sank under water, this training would last for weeks, he would time how long the dog would stay afloat and from that he would judge if the dog was ready for the pit !...They would never put a staffie up against a wolf as it was no competition/entertainment, the trained staffie would take a short time finishing off any size wolf !!!... Staffie were set upon bears and or bull's ! back in the day, mainly in London...

Does everything including helping me during work with landscaping or even just guarding my work truck/tools. I wrestle and spar with him too. He boxes. As for EBT, I miss the clownish behaviour, silliness and sweetness. Only flexed when she needed to. I taught my Presa to wait patiently and let my senior EBT eat first, without fighting over the dining area. I also had an oversized Mini (not mini at all 35lbs jacked) Pinscher 10 yrs until EBT turned 5. Long story short, DOGS4LIFE. My choices at the moment are (all female) Dogo Argentino, American Akita, EBT/Mini EBT, Thai Ridgeback or Alano Español for next in the pack.

Those were athletic dogs that were hard on the common dog but would get stopped by the proper Bulldog (that looked suspiciously like the modern gamebred Pit Bull).
