Welcome aboard to the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring, which is arguably one of the best trims of the regular Honda Civic. The engine is upgraded to a 1.5T Inline-4 with 180 hp and a CVT, although customers can option a 6-Speed Manual exclusively on the hatchback. At $31K, the price comes close to a $29K Civic Si and base level Acura Integra with 20 more horsepower, but this Civic Sport Touring has much more creature comforts. Examples include a fully digital gauge cluster, heated & perforated power seats, blind spot indicator, and a sweet 9-inch headunit with wireless Carplat & Android Auto. With the Civic, it's a choice between performance or interior creature comforts, with this one offering the latter.

I have this car and it's really nice. Definitely a premium feel in the interior. Unfortunately the 9 inch screen a little slow but it gets the job done. I smoked the taillights , chrome delete, and added a spoiler. It's fire

I've actually thought about trading in, my 2021 Accord Sport SE. For a fully loaded, 2024 Civic. Is that backwards thinking? A fully loaded Civic has rain sensing wipers, and Bose audio. Features my current 21 Accord Sport SE doesn't have.

It’s also about what you want personally. I’m about to pick up a 24 sport touring myself and I’m excited. And I’m speaking as someone going from a 20 challenger with AWD. I drive a lot for work and I really wanted better gas mileage and needed more cargo for shows and training etc. What I would recommend is go to a dealer and sit in one, drive it and see. You may like it, you may not. Don’t let the perception of what others think guide your decision. Honda makes great cars so either way you are good. But if you like and want the new civic then go for it.

I ended up with the corolla hatchback XSE because I personally think it's the best-looking hatchback. I also didn't want anything turbo charged, or a sunroof. I wanted the most reliable vehicle with the least to go wrong while still having some upgrades. The Civic is nice but the only thing I honestly really wanted from it was the Bose speakers. JBL's aren't bad but Bose would have been better. Also, the interior of the Corolla is great. I genuinely don't understand why people talk down about the interior when the quality of the material is pretty much identical if not identical. I prefer the interior look of the Corolla as well; the honeycombs look tacky to me.

That’s extremely subjective and manual cars don’t sell nearly as well as automatic. True manual transmissions have been dying for 12 years or more. That’s just the truth of it. Just because you like them and think they are better means nothing in the aggregate of every driver who drives a car. If more people wanted manuals then more people would sell and review them.

@georgen5882
@georgen5882 Ай бұрын
That makes no sense. You can’t compare a higher end vehicle that automatically has baked in more features in their vehicles than what a mid grade car would have. Of course they have similar design features now, but they didn’t then. Cars have become more expensive but those features are becoming less expensive and more mainstream. This is how it always is and has been with cars, especially when comparing higher end then to middle of the road now. That hasn’t changed. You want more features? Buy a 24 Mercedes then, because they should have more. And if they don’t then you overpaid for the name, which happens all the time in cars as well(and in other products).

Besides the fact that it doesn’t turn cars into garbage, there is almost no difference in a CVT vs a standard automatic. You just don’t switch gears when you drive. That’s it. CVT has also been around for over 20 years, so it isn’t like it’s this new technology that hasn’t been done and worked on and refined. Honda has been doing them on the civics since at least 2016, so I don’t know what you are referring to at all. If they were so bad why would almost every major car manufacturer move toward them as a standard? So many have them now, and personally I like them better. Just because you don’t doesn’t make them garbage.
@kerplunk38880
@kerplunk38880 Ай бұрын
@@georgen5882 I am just going to assume you're trolling since 90% of what you just wrote is absolutely factually incorrect. An automatic transmission uses gears. A CVT uses a belt. CVT's are notorious for failing around 60,000 except for Toyota's E-CVT which uses a gear for 1st gear and a CVT for the rest. The car manufacturers are using them for one reason: they're cheaper. People aren't demanding CVT's. Most people are oblivious to the fact that they are not as reliable. So there you go. I won't comment further.

@georgen5882 Ай бұрын
34 is reasonable. The sport touring MSRP is 33k. So with all the rest included 34k is bad? I don’t know what WA state tax is, but even at 5% that’s 1500 for a 30k purchase. If you get the car for 32 then it’s automatically 33.5 just with tax. Sounds to me like you are either bad at math, or have weird expectations. It’s not hard to find a reputable dealer, this isn’t covid anymore.

Sorry but that's an awful ugly interior seat & trim color & it with do nothing but show dirt over time, probably why the car was a trade in bc of the interior color! I would prefer an all black interior over your color or gray. I actually looking at a 2024 Civic Sport Touring now, looking at Platinum White, Meteorite Gray or Sonic Gray Pearl, my local dealer has all their Platinum White Civic Hatchback Sport Touring's in stock with a 6 spd manual, most all my cars & trucks I've ever bought have been white & if I buy I'm trading in a Summit White car. I prefer the automatic CVT over a 6 spd manual plus NO remote start on the 6 spd!. I haven't drove a manual in about 20+ years but the main issue is I've had 2 knee surgeries in 2020, not sure if I would get tired of using the clutch in several years or not! Thanks for your video, you seem to show a lot more in details the features than other videos of 2024 Civic Hatchback Sport Touring I've watched.
