Despite its flaws breakpoint is visually stunning I find myself usually immersed while playing only thing that would increase the immersion is a dedicated first person mode or vr

This looks great, shame Ubisoft never made 1st person an actual mode. One thing I always hoped would be fixed, but never was: the audio. Breakpoint is one of the Ubisoft games where sometimes audio will not work as it should. Whenever more than one audio is playing, another audio gets muted, or so it seems. Sometimes the reload animation plays however the reload sound of the mag change isn't heard. I doubt mods can fix that, considering the limited modding capabilities of Breakpoint. Still, 1st person mode is amazing!

First person Breakpoint at higher difficults changes everything. Enemies hide much better since you don't have God's eye (third person) to give you infinity awareness. Helicopters are actually menacing. Wolves are hard to spot in the forest and kill you very fast (thus becoming a real threat). The list goes on and on. It is like a entirely different game. On another note, my lighting never looks that good and I have maxed out everything (I have a 4090, so it isn't a hardware problem).

He may be using a reshade but I couldn't tell which. There is one on nexus that uses Ray Tracing.

Welp, just bought my first Ghost Recon game since Future Soldier. Thanks for the heads up, Tom. Timing this video with it being on sale on Steam made it an easy decision. Also subbed to DEEF and will probably throw some money the mod dev's way, too. Ubi should thank him, DEEF, and you.

I’ve been playing it some on my own and its an experience that is, in my opinion, on an entirely different level as compared to vanilla. I would like a quad shader for the nvgs but seeing as the mod was released recently that might happen. Great vid!

Great video, thanks for making me discover the mod! Just curious, how did you manage to get the laser dot to align with the weapon/barrel while in first person? Unless I use the aim view when shooting "from the hip" with the laser there is a clearly visible offset between the laser dot and where the bullet hits.

The biggest problem on console for this game is the fact that you can’t turn off film grain. It’s very hard to ignore in 2023. Wish Ubisoft would allow mods on console.

If only it was made this way from the start, this mode is definetly better than TPS but it's still janky with your player model constantly popping here and there.. Ghost Recons was an awesome franchise when I was a kid, the first ones were fun to play, giving commands to your unit, and advanced warfighter was god tier at the time with the POV of your teammates on your HUD..

Tomo! How did you fix the laser accuracy? My laser is offset from the middle of my screen so its hard to aim. I noticed your over the shoulder aiming was pretty accurate.

I play with my monitor crosshair on which doesn't get captured in the recording, therefore allowing me to aim accurately. The laser doesn't allow you to aim precisely due to misalignment with the First Person camera unfortunately.

I can only hope that Ubisoft sees the traction that this mod is getting for these two games and the resurgence of streamers showcasing both of these games because of it and either shifts the next entry to 1st, or gives the option. And bonus marks if they come back and officially add a 1st person option for the game so consoles can enjoy

All the game needs now in order to be considered a tactical shooter is this: 1. A tac map where you can move team AI around the map, like the original Ghost Recon and like in Arma 3. 2. To be able to give individual commands to team AI, like the original Ghost Recon and Arma 3.
