I bought this the same day this vid dropped. It's exactly what you said. The low setting is all that needed inside a tent. I hooked it up to a 15,000MaH battery bank and just let it run on the low setting. It uses just under 2% of that battery Per Hour. Technically, this thing can run on low with that 15k MaH battery for 50 hours. That's 5 nights of sleep with spare juice for, like, 6 naps. Ha.

I would like to mention that this fan is also very helpful in the winter pushing the heated air from my Mr. Buddy heater down from the tent ceiling to the tent floor where I’m sleeping. Thanks for the great videos John

SOLD! As a diabetic who has a finite window for comfort, I have a problem with heat in the Georgia summer. I just bought 2 of them for $34 from Amazon, a green one and a tan one. What a small price to pay for comfort for myself and my lady when she comes along with me on adventures! You're a good salesman, Luke! Rock on, brother!

Another benefit I haven't seen mentioned - they do a decent job of reducing the amount of time to dry out small items of clothing. It may not seem like much, but dry socks or t-shirt can make a big difference in comfort level.

Follow up on this item. I had bought one of these at time of review and used it a bit at work and home. I had to go for orthopedic surgery a couple weeks ago and brought this for my hospital stay. This was a life improver while there. Not overly loud but powerful and kept me cooled off. I appreciate this recommendation from many months ago

Airflow during the hot summer months can't be understated! I have a usb charged, battery operated oscillating fan with a sleep timer and light I use in my camper trailer to keep the air circulating. I'm not a fan of corded fans, so having one with it's own independent battery makes it more convenient.

I recently bought a Coolice rechargeable Camping Fan with Remote Control and so far I like it. 3 fan speeds, 2 light settings, and timer. It has a hook for in a tent, it can stand on it's base, or has a strong clip to attach to a table, lawn chair, etc. USB chargeable, and it can be used while charging. I'm impressed so far.
@Baladen1-tr8qs Жыл бұрын
I saw you using that fan in a video about a year ago and saying how much you loved it. I went to buy it on Amazon and ended up getting a different model from the same company. I bought the model F04 'Upgraded Camping Fan'. Mine is about 6in across and has a base instead of a frame. The fan tilts 180 degrees on a hinge. The base is flat on the bottom but has a semi-circle hangar that is flush with the base when closed and has a spring opening so it can be easily hung from a line in the tent. The biggest feature of the model I got, in my opinion, is the 6000mah battery built in - with a USB-C port to charge it and a USB-A port to allow plugging in other devices to charge. I don't ever use it to charge other devices but I love the USB-C port. Also, the outer ring of the fan is an LED light. Not very bright, but plenty for a tent at night. I love my version because it's a single item that I can charge at home and use on a trip without any cables. If I do run it dry, the same cable that charges my phone will charge the fan.

Hi Luke, after this review I decided to purchase one of these fans and I have to agree that this little unit is great. I needed to replace a larger fan in my truck camper and have a USB power outlet in the camper to power it. The power consumption is low and performance is great. Thanks for your great reviews.

Great review! I loved that you included an estimate of how many hours it could last running from a 10,000mAh power bank.

I have a couple of these, and they do work well. I have one permanently mounted in the back of the SUV to push the AC back into the area where the dog rides in the far back, and it works very well to keep the dog cool. They have enough zip that you can even stick them in an open window to help in ventilating a room. I will say that when traveling either bring a power bank or an extension cord for your USB charger. The cord is long, but I find where you want the fan is often not conveniently close enough to a plug.

My 25 cents: I am someone who NEEDS a fan. Partially for the sound but mostly because I cant stand the feeling of not having a breeze. Everyone has their own needs, comforts and preferences. After watching this channel for a bit, I notice you mold many of your products around usb and it's probably the best idea. As someone who's slowly building their stockpile of equipment for camping, I'm coming to the point where i think investing into a power station or some battery source is the best idea. Especially when I camp with multiple of people in rustic style. Originally I got an offbrand rechargeable fan and honestly I love it. It holds a 5000mah battery and lasts a long time. I literally left this fan at a friends house for a few months and it still held a charge. Has a not to increase fan speed which is great because you aren't limited to a few options of speed. My main focus was to get a fan that I could use to charge my phone. It works well and can charge a like 3 phones fully, but this isnt ideal when you're out for days. So i'm honestly too considering switching to the powerstation idea. I would be able to do far more. Now spending many grands for a decent one isnt my first idea xd

Hey Luck, you said it would be great if it had feet on the side, I once bought some very small circle rubber things with tape on the back in a hardware store for like 2$ for a pack of 16 I think. The Smartdevil is a pretty cool fan...uh, no pun intended. I have four fans in my van mounted near the ceiling around my bed. One that oscillates is my favorite. One is a swamp cooler but I rarely use it. Air flow is the key to comfort in an enclosed area like my cargo van. My fans have used all over the U.S. and have not let me down. Three smaller fans are USB powered. The oscillating fan is plugged into a small Jackery and hardly affects the output of the Jackery.

I particularly like my 4" clip on fan because it can use both 2-18650 batteries or micro-usb cable for power. It has dual swivel so it can be pointed into any direction. The nicest thing is that it can be folded down flat for storage, but the base is a bit thick to hold the 2 batteries. I've used this thing for 5 + years and it still works like new. I don't know the company that makes this thing as it doesn't have any branding I can find as I got it as a present years ago. It uses a potentiometer dial for speed control and does push a good amount of air. I'm not able to find pictures of this fan, so I guess the maker is long out of business.

Bought one based on this review, decided to buy a second after receiving the first. Puts out a good amount of air for being USB. According to my Pecron battery its using like 1-2 watts. I have several similar generic usb fans, they're twice the size of these and are 2amp. I installed a plank to the wall above my bed and attached four to it facing down toward my head, mine has the three speed but if you press and hold the button it goes into turbo mode. During the summer when I go out and it's hot and stuffy I take one and a power bank with me, especially if I'm planning on eating out or going to a bar. Purchased around 10 in 2019, gave a couple away and only have one fail on me. Like your son I use them as noise generators at night plus a breeze makes me sleep better.

I have the rechargeable version with a removable cord. It will run for hours and hours when it's been charged. A brilliant fan. The complaints about noise, and not being able to swivel on its side sound to me to be nit-picking. If I have to find any issue with mine, it's that when run on the highest setting, it's very near to toppling over due to the thrust from the fan. I stuck a couple of additional feet underneath to offset the problem. I find the slight hiss of the wind quite restful. Brushless motor too. I'm thinking of ordering a 2nd one.

Yep. Nothing better than climbing into a tent as the temps start to fall through the 70s to the 60s in the evening, with the associated rise in relative humidity. You start sweaty and just lay there dirty and sweaty, sticking to your air mattress. Or, you turn on a little fan and blow yourself dry while also giving yourself a baby wipe shower. Then after a little bit, as the temps continue to fall through the night, you shut off the fan and pull your bag/quilt up over your sorta-clean and dry body. Definitely makes it a more enjoyable evening.

I believe it is the fan blades themselves that create most of the noise. Now there are easy ways to design blades to be less noisy and more efficient. Making the blade with toroidal winglets creating an optimal blade design, which can not only be more quiet, but like I said before, it will be more efficient. Find a blade design on line, 3D print it, it should work better. Just a thought.
