This was so much fun to watch with you guys! I'm an elementary music teacher. I show this video to my students every year to talk about instruments and genres . Showing them that an instrument is not a genre. Any instrument can play any genre it just depends on the skill of the instrumentalist. Great reaction guys!! So much fun!!

I would like to introduce you to 2cellos. The instrument is in the name of the group... "cello" ....The player in purple is "Luka" Sulic & the one in cream is Stjepan "Hauser". They are classicly trained master cellists. They have a huge discography where they have covered many popular songs from rock to pop. They also did an album of movie theme songs.... I saw them do a performance on The Ellen Show & they had to stop because Hauser broke all the horse hairs on his bow. When they perform live they do have a drummer for the rock songs & a few of the pop songs. They were discovered by Sir Elton John when they posted their arrangement of Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson on KZbin. They opened for & played with Sir Elton's band during his concert tours until thier careers took off. I so hope you will do more of the supremely talented young men. I would suggest 2cellos - Mombasa - from the movie Inception - original video, 2cellos - Smells Like Teen Spirit - Live at Sydney Opera House (Nirvana cover). I could go on & on with suggestions but will leave it at two for now...

That big "violin" is called a cello, hence their name 2Cellos. The cellist on the left is Stjepan Hauser, who is Croatian. The Cellist on the right is Luka Sulic, who is Slovenian. They are awesome! Please listen to more of their covers! Smells Like Teen Spirit, Smooth Criminal, Highway to Hell!!!

Hands down the BEST CONCERT and show Ive ever been to. Love seeing your reaction! Dive into their discography. Well worth it. Their cover of Led Zep's Whole Lotta Love is FIRE! I love the way they blend Rock and Classical, Rock and Pop and Heavy Metal and Classical. Check out their cover/mix of Iron Maidens The Trooper and William Tell's 1812 overture. (Was my first 2Cellos experience) I was absolutely stunned!

Thanks guys that performance is so amazingly electric. What amazing way to show what they can do. Never get tired of that. Remember people to first watch original “thunderstruck” by AC/DC. The guy on his back is Stjepan Hauser. He does that live too. He also has a harness so that his cello can be strapped to his chest and he walks around in the audience. He’s also quite a funny flirt.

Cellos are like a 20" inch bass speaker in person. A double bass is like 40 inch bass speaker, in other words, most speaker cannot reproduce the bass. You need big speakers and lots of them to get the sounds.

Try there Trooperoverture. First time i seen them i crapped myself. Made me respect the sound of a Bass Chello. It is part of the Bow string Violin family. Think back to all those BeatNic bands of the 50s and 60s. This was the bass in the band Bass ( pronounce Base ) .
