It's highly unlikely they would have exploded. You're viewing this through a 21st century lens/mindset. In the 1700s they would have reacted exactly how it was portrayed in the video: dead silence. BTW, the broken bow "'strings" are horsehair from the tails of the horses. What they're doing is incredibly rough on their bows, no surprise there... They probably have to get them redone an awful lot.

@@SpookiCooki the strings were made from cat gut. The bows have always been made from horsehair a far as I know. Maybe there's some synthetic man made fiber that can work, but I don't know that for sure one way or another.

I adore female fronted bands, in fact I actually prefer them. I've been picking up on new femalefronted bands from other commenters leaving tips, or replying to me with tips. So, I'll leave a couple with you, Eva Under Fire, Skarlett Riot, and Ledger (Skillet's drummer's solo project) I DID get a reply from one of the people I left a tip with, and he replied with positive feedback on Eva Under Fire.
