Mark, Trish, and Caleb, My wife and I have seen most of your videos and have truly enjoyed sharing your amazing journey. You inspire us to try the nomad life you have documented so well! This most recent video is as good as any we've ever seen on KZbin. The subject matter is certainly outstanding, but the presentation is just top notch! Well edited, well "directed" and it truly puts you audience right into the action with your family. Thanks for all of the work that you put into bringing us into tour adventure. Dana and Marianne

Thanks Dana & Marianne. It's funny, the best episodes are the easiest to edit. It still took me 25 hours, but it was not as difficult. You'll get so much more out of your travel by documenting it. Not to mention having it to look back on.

Great video. I lived on the Kenai for about 20 years and this brought back a lot of good memories. We used to dip net from a boat in the mouth of the Kenai river in the '80s. On one of those trips we had four people in the boat with two nets and caught 48 reds in 45 minutes! (Over the normal limit but no one cared because the escapement up the river was too high.) Since its difficult to catch sockeye with a line, that's how we put fish in the freezer for winter. Alaska is an amazing state, especially when you get out in the bush. Thanks for sharing your incredible trip.

Oh, darn, another absolutely stunning video from KYD. I am impressed with Kaleb's continued growth and maturity on this trip. I mean, getting him to take full responsibility for your backing into the awning is just one indicator. Living in Wyoming for 40-some years gave me an insight into the mindset of its residents. Alaskans appear much the same; no one lives in Alaska because they have to, they live in Alaska because they want to. Having the mind and heart operating in unison is the key. Thanks once again, "see" you next Monday.

OH WOW! I could already hear the Bald Eagle's early on in your video! the bear sitings were mind-blowing! But, the main reason I have wanted to take that long journey there was specifically to see the Eagle's! Even though I have seen/photographed adults and Juvie's here along the river during the winter migration, you have to be out for hour's, and may get lucky enough to see 1 or 2 during that time. I have photographed 2 young Juvie's (about 2 yr-old's), at a St. Park/Reservoir abut 40 miles, many of them flying back and forth across the dam, and got lucky once to see 2 of them locking talons in mid-flight. That was awesome! So glad you are making the most of your journey to/through Alaska, and Caleb will have these rare moments he shared with you for a lifetime.
