It is very different playing games that pride themselves on the sound. Dead Space, both the original and remake, are examples of that. Horror games in general are a scary experience wearing headphones, but it's a completely different beast when the game is developed with sound as a selling point.

When developers said they had trouble playing this for extended periods I didn't take them seriously but Ive legit been having to take breaks every hour its so intense. Good luck. I honestly am glad its not my job to play this entire thing in one go xD

I have always liked the fact that the horror music doesn't kick in until you see the monster coming at you. It really builds up the paranoia that comes with every sound you hear while playing.

At the time of Dead Space 1 Isaac was 47 years old, I don't think Nicole would be a lot more younger than him. So yeah this isn't 2008 graphics, they should look like most working people their age.

One suggestion I might have (if you're still in the process of recording the rest of the series) is maybe to disable the motion blur setting under Settings>Display and graphics>(set to 0). I know for myself anyway it doesn't impact me too much but it might be helpful for some who are more prone to motion sickness. Just a thought! My favourite thing about the remake is that the vanilla Necromorphs sound like they're having a swell time. Pay attention to a few of their soundbytes, especially during scripted sequences or ambushes, and you almost feel like there's one of 'em that's all "AHA! Got you! Now you die, nyehehehehehe!" There's mean glee involved in there, a healthy dose of sadism - and it sort of makes me feel like the Necros' reward circuits (dopamine) are on overdrive.

I first discovered you around 2015 with your Dead Space run. I could be wrong, but I think you had something like 10k subscribers, you've come a long way now to nearly 1M. You've always been by far my favorite youtuber, one of the few that did not over exaggerate her reactions. Such a cool, calm and yet entertaining gamer. You're a bit more expressive these days, but you're still the best, even if I wish you would play a bit more of the older games series like you used to. Would love to see you play Gears of War or the old God of War, and also some modern JRPG like Persona and maybe even Fire Emblem, which I think, might please your current audience for their social aspects. But I do understand you current inclinations, and I'm sure you'll never quit the horror genre. I know that I'll be there until you reach at least 10M and beyond.

No way... No way! So my favorite video game universe is the Silent Hill universe because it would be the horror realm that I would want to live in out of all fantasy worlds. A close second is the Dead Space universe because the Markers and their lore, especially with the Unitology I find fascinating. tip for ammo: you only pickup ammo for the weapons you carry. if you place the weapons you don't use in storage, you will get more ammo drops for the weapons you use :)

Dead Space was one of my favorite games. The remake was very VERY good in my opinion. Similarly to RE4 remake, it kept most of the game and updated it, added some things that I think add to the experience. But it still has terrific sound design, enemy design. I am late to the party, but I will watch the whole series for sure. It is always interesting to see one of your favorite games through the eyes of someone else.
